We stayed in the hotel and had a divine kaiseki-style meal here. Exquisitely presented, lovely food. Delicious. I am not a very adventurous eater, and Japanese food has a lot of things that make me "nervous." Everything we had was delicious and just wonderful. Superb. Elegant. Breakfast was a delight too. I can only imagine what they would do for lunch, and for diners who are more flexible. (I am not a fan of raw meat or fish, and also have some food allergies which they took into account.)

We arrived early on Miyajima (ie before 10am) & went in search of a coffee before planning our day on the island. But very few places were open & we were beginning to think we would have to resort to vending machine coffee when we turned a corner & found this!Great coffee & pastry smells wafted through the front door. I enjoyed some toast with lemon jam (delicious by the way) with my coffee, while my hubby devoured one of the delicious pastries. Highly recommended way to start your day on Miyajima.

Stopped in for tea and some sweets while walking down from Daishoin Temple on a cool damp day. Very friendly English speaking staff. Regular table seating, or tatami.

You can rest and seeing the Itsukushima Shrin at this cafe . And also you can feel lovely time with the ebb and flow of the tide. We drip a coffee one by one at the time . We have vegetarian Japanese style risotto and tomato chicken curry.
We visited Miyajima on a very rainy day and discovered this lovely little cafe tucked around a corner overlooking the sea when we emerged from the shrine. Very cosy and comfortable with good jazzy music playing in the background. Food was limited but what we had was very good and just what we needed at the time. Seemed like a very cool and hip place.
