Visits to this eatery are becoming a weekly habit and the reason is simple - Magnificent people who consistently serve fantastic, quality food in generous portions at amazing value for money prices! Again Mr JR Hulme (see picture!) enjoyed the mega breakfast 2 sausage, 2 bacon, spam (real spam not a cheap imitation), black pudding, beans, tomatoes(tinned ), mushrooms, eggs (fried, scrambled etc your choice!) and a mountain of hot buttered toast. Mr Hulme enjoys a cheeky upgrade of a fried slice and having eating the same this morning I fully understand why!! I will return to this delightful place next week to, again indulge myself in a celebration of traditional pork products and would recommend you do the same!!

Had the best ever tuna crunch panini today! Not the first time I've been here and I've never had any problems with the food (fresh and made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients) or the service - all the staff are friendly and helpful. The café is very clean and has a relaxed atmosphere.

First visit to Halifax (to the Piece Hall) and whilst wondering round the town centre we came across the indoor market hall (Borough Market). Then we found Babushka Russian cafe - perfect place, highly recommended. Great friendly service, massive range of teas and extensive menu that includes traditional Russian food and cakes. Got to visit when in Halifax. We will revisit.

I have been coming here for years and have never had anything that wasn't exceptional. Such care and dedication goes into every dish; ingredients are often home-grown and locally sourced and it really shows in the flavours. The couple who run it are friendly and welcoming and the décor is warm and homely, with books available for customers to read and lots of other thoughtful touches. The lady who runs the café always remembers just how I like my soup and I never have to even mention it. The menu changes daily and was seasonal long before it became trendy. This really is a lovely place and I'd go as far as to say the best food in Halifax

I had the £5.50 standard breakfast as photographed which comes with 2 slices of toast, brown or white, and a small mug of tea. Prompt and friendly service.Interesting location with plenty of free parking. There are a few attention to detail things that could be done to gain 5 stars.

A lovely day out. Itâs on a main road but when you are in the tea room everything changes and you forget where you are, would definitely recommend! The woman who owns is lovely and very friendly. There is also a car park next to it so itâs easily accessible. Also the chocolate cake is amazing.
