Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Grasten including Restaurant Fiskenaes, Nybol Bageri ApS & Grill, Torvehallen, Sandwig Bistro Cafe, Marcellos Soenderborg
Our family of 11, ages 5 to 75 years, had dinner at this restaurant recently, on a saturday evening. Everybody found things that they liked to eat, even the 9 year old who is very selective. The atmosphere at the restaurant was relaxed and enjoyable. The price was reasonable for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Just a note here, to mention that dessert was not included in the buffet, but could be purchased in an adjoining room.
While on our way to Graasten Palace, we stopped at this bakery / grill (two separate entrances) to buy morning bread, coffee, and tea. Once inside, we noticed that this fine establishment not only sells freshly baked breads, rolls, pastries, and coffee/tea, but provides excellent and tasty deli sandwiches, for lunch, as well. There is a secluded, nice and cozy patio available if diners wish to sit outdoors to enjoy their meal / beverage. Otherwise, seating is available indoors. We did not try food from the grill. However, if the quality of food therefrom matches the quality of food from the bakery, you simply cannot go wrong at either place.Worth the stop? Definitely.

I've been to Torvehallen on several occasions for a take away pizza. The variety is interesting compared to other restaurants and pizzarias in the area, and the taste is usually good. On my last visit however, I witnessed the owner talking down to one of the employees. It was a clearly audible scolding for everybody in the restaurant, which granted wasn't a lot og people at the time, and it was over a salad. Now I do respect that the owner wants a certain standard and that the salad lacked something to live up to that. But this scolding made me cringe. It was out of place and unnecessarily loud. After the scolding the owner walked by me and gave me the slimiest of smileys as if the demeaning scolding was natural and to be expected. With such disregard for his staff's wellbeing, I am done eating food from Torvehallen, and I sincerely hope his chef has found a better place to work.

This little bistro is right on the beach and offers beautiful views across the bay to Danmark. As is to be exepected, they offer only a limited menu, but everything we ordered was good and tasty. A nice place for a quick meal - or a long sun-downer.

We ordered the Chicken Club on homemade sourdough, it was delicious! We had tap water to drink and I was surprised that we were charged 20 DKK (over $3 USD!) for tap water. We sat inside because of all the smokers that were seated outside but could still smell the smoke.
