Reviews on Cafe food in Gourock, Scotland, United Kingdom. Gourock (/ˈɡʊərək/ ( listen) GOOR-ək; Scottish Gaelic: Guireag [kuɾʲak]) is a town falling within the Inverclyde council area and formerly forming a burgh of the county of Renfrew in the West of Scotland. It has in the past functioned as a seaside resort on the East shore of the upper Firth of Clyde. Private Caterers based in Argyll carrying out catering contracts all over the world from in house dinning to outside catering covering all weddings and functions.
Had a great time at this restaurant with some friends around a month ago. The food was excellent and all washed down with some nice wine and a variety of gins. David the owner was very knowledgeable about his gins and has a vast range. The menu isn't extensive, but well thought out, and there are daily specials on the board. Would highly recommend it and will hopefully be visiting again soon.

Came across this cafe by chance and decided to have lunch there. It is above a shop and we were shown a table by a pleasant young man. We decided to have a salad. We both chose the prawn salad and it was very generous and with an excellent selection of salad. The menu is extensive and offers good value for money. There were several families in when we were there, so it is a popular place. Heartily recommend this cafe if you want a pleasant seating area, good food and good value. You will not be disappointed.

This Is A Family Owned Rest Which Has Been Going For A Few Years, It Is Very Popular With Local People And Very Close To The Cruise Terminal
Came here based on TA reviews and wasnât disappointed. The venue is open and spacious and if Iâm honest well finished from what I saw.The staff are friendly and welcoming, the menu has something for everyone I would say. I had the Pasta Pesto and it was good, very tasty and a good portion, maybe some bread on the side would have been nice but no complaints from meYes, I would recommend and would come again!

Cafe Riva offers a relaxed environment with plenty of parking, serving breakfasts all day, snacks, freshly made espresso coffee and cakes. A stylish new outlet, located in the magnificent Kip Marina the cafe is named in homage to the classic Riva Aquarama
Inside the Marina at Inverkip ,nestled behind boats and marine shops is this wee gem of a place. We had enjoyed a late night with friends on their boat and were in need of a sound meal to clear our heads the next morning. It's very small, but the service is quick and friendly.Takeaway or sit-in,this is a busy place,so book ahead if you can.Small thing, but no credit cards were accepted,a small thing, but not what you would expect today. We all enjoyed our meal,I had the full breakfast and it was more than enough for me.Huge cups of tea, plenty toast, yep,I'll be back again.

Poor service, basic food and extortionate pricing for what it is. Went for lunch here last week. Asked for a soup and also a soup/sandwich combo with drink for myself and my mum. After about 15 minutes, the soup (not particularly hot) arrived with the sandwich. Girl serving had to go and get the cutlery. Waited another few minutes for this while she continued a conversation with the other girl working. I then had to tell her that I was still waiting on my drink....I realised she only presented us with cutlery for me - my mum was still sitting with no spoon and no soup. I asked her about the other soup and she said that's not what the order was on the til. I informed her that I had in fact asked for 1 soup and 1 soup & sandwich deal and she insisted that this is not what was on her til. We seemed to be in some kind of stalemate where she would rather argue the point than say "oh sorry, I must've misheard (which was clearly the case), I'll just get the other soup for you now". Her tone was pretty condescending.About 10 minutes later, when I was half way through my lunch, the other soup appeared and mid mouthful, she slapped the til receipt on the table beside me and said "there's your bill". I've never felt more unwelcome in a cafe in my life. The fact that it's £7.50 for soup and a basic sandwich is another issue in itself. I also had to practically beg for a little bit of salad on the side too.Rest assured, I won't be back. The staff are slow and need a wee lesson in customer relations.

Staying at caravan park roseneath were told about a cafe in kilgreggan small cafe but seafood specials on the board fresh that day and does not hit the pocket to badly if you are a smoker or like a coffee outside and look over to gourock and then you have that facility worth a visit good to see small places like this still surviving in today's rat race.

This was our favourite coffee shop in Gourock, but sadly, things have changed and standards have slipped since the refurbishment and change of staff. There is a lack of caring about the customer. Hopefully things will improve and we can have our favourite âFlavaâ standards restored.

Arrived to a very busy car park but the shopping area was quiet Restaurant was fairly busy but not so busy that warranted a 20min wait for a coffee and a toastie.Coffee was fine toasties ....well it was warm but not a tasty toastie. A lot is needing to be spent in the garden centre as it's layout and content were somewhat disappointingLiving near the Clyde Valley CardWell has a lot to learn if it wants to be on a par with the centres in this part of the world

We dropped into cafe continental mid Sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to secure a table for one hour. Seemed to be a few larger parties in but there was a nice buzz about the place. Great views from the huge windows. Mac cheese was ok, not the best (a bit dry like it had been sitting in the oven a long time) but by no means the worse Iâve had. Roast lamb with all the trimmings went down well. Couple of glasses of house red and two excellent espressos set us up for the afternoon. No time for pudding as they really did need the table back within the hour. Recommended if in the area but would suggest booking ahead to enjoy a more leisurely experience.

Welcome to One Cove Road. We are an established and popular cafe bistro in Gourock, with stunning views over Cardwell Bay and the Firth of Clyde. Focusing strongly on quality local produce, we offer an extensive breakfast menu, light lunches and organic,
We visited One Cove Road yesterday afternoon for lunch. Although food and location are fantastic, unfortunately the service was very poor. We ordered coffee and cake theee times and still didnât get them. We then told the staff not to bother as we didnât want these items now. However, the price of the (unreceived) coffees/cakes was on the bill and we were asked what was wrong when we asked for said items to be removed. We were told they were very busy and they try their best. Thereâs actually a counter for folks to come in to buy carry out snacks, rather than sit in the cafe and these customers were always served first, hence our forgotten coffee/cakes, which we had waited half and hour for, had reminded the staff three times for, and had never received. We suggest that there should be a member of staff to serve the walk-in shop customers and other staff members could then serve the sit-in cafe customers. In that way, the cafe customers would also get served as efficiently as the walk-in ones.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Our team contacted me directly following your visit to share both their interpretation of your experience and their experience during your visit. We pride ourselves in great customer service. Everything we offer is freshly made on site which includes freshly ground coffee, freshly cooked food on the menu and our cakes are baked freshly daily. You are correct that in the day in question, we were very busy and due to this, there can be longer wait times, but much of this is based on the freshness of making all of our drinks and food to order. We aim for our team members to communicate regularly with customers if wait times are extended and will continue to improve this. When all tables require hot drinks and fresh food, there are occasions when e.g. our barista can take longer, which was the case with your Flat White, however our understanding is that you did receive your cakes. In addition, the additional hot drinks that you ordered were removed from your bill and this did not need to be prompted. We appreciate your positive comments about our food and location. We continue to work hard in the training of our team and we appreciate all levels of feedback, particularly when it is received in a calm and constructive manner by our customers. Thank you for visiting us.
