Just visited with my family for a cup of coffee. The manager looked at me like I was an alien when asking if I could order some coffees for my family. The most disgusting personal manner I have ever come across and should not be working in customer service!! Do not visit.. you have been warned

This was my second time of visiting and never again. Both times I would ask the question how could you go wrong with making sandwiches? This time it was coronation chicken with a very strange sauce. My green tea was good but the cappuccino was weak and scalding hot. The window ledge we were sitting near was dirty with dead flies and the floor was dirty.

Having read some of the reviews I am quite surprised by the commentsParticularly about the price. For quality, gluten free produce I would say it is definitely value for money! We really enjoyed our visitI am both gluten free and vegetarian(sadly) which can make impromptu eating out problematic. Roost has a super menu, nice selection of 'popular' dishes and the cakes were very reasonable at £2.50 each. Sourdough bagels were lovely, as were the waffles. Good portion size, fresh, hot and well presented. Staff friendly and service prompt and politeWe will definitely be back.
Ok everything is served with chips and beans which are poor quality on their own and lack any flavour. Other people have already commented on the poor quality sausages and they are correct That aside itâs relatively cheap for the huge portion sizes but you will leave feeling disappointed that it has very little taste.

A community run cafe, delicatessen and grocery shop nestled in the Surrey Hills in the beautiful village of Hambledon. Post Office services also available.
Idyllic setting overlooking the cricket green and a magnet for walkers and those passing through. Slightly ramshackle which only adds to its charm. The sausage rolls were probably the best Iâve ever had and the freshly made sandwiches also very good. Thereâs a small post office there too which would be a good excuse for a coffee stop if nothing else. It has to be said that itâs certainly not cheap but maybe the old adage of you get what you pay for applies.
