Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Georgetown. Although not a crowded Caribbean tourist spot, Georgetown is a unique city that serves as a perfect jumping point for ecotours into the South American interior. Its Victorian and Dutch Colonial architecture is detailed with louvered window shutters and brick and stone work. Built below the high tide level, the city is protected by a large seawall and drained by a grid of canals. Sundry goods can be found at the distinctive Stabroek Market, while the landmark Light House offers panoramic views.

For a coffee shop, one of the poorest I have been to. Only the owner knows how to make the coffee. The staff doesn't. It is usually left to them. This applies to the branch in the gift land mall. The fast food chicken spot makes better coffee!

This cafe it's located near the National Library. It's a nice place to drink a coffee or have lunch. The environment it's nice to have a meeting/ conversation and food it's good. Prices are a little high, so e.g. they have a lunch menu for 2000 (no drinks included). They have burgers, wraps, main courses, etc.
Guyana's Premier Bakery and Cafe. Fresh, Breads and Cakes baked in Daily in store. With an assortment of Pastries, Snacks, Juices, Drink and Ice Cream
This cafe is probably more suited for shopping for various fresh items, especially bread, pastry, jams etc than for a sit-down lunch place. They also had alcoholic beverages to sell. They serve various sandwiches and have a couch to sit, so I decided to go for a sandwich and check the atmosphere out. Today, they did not have cheese or sausage, but I managed to get a turkey sandwich with veggies with mustard. The bread was good, but the sandwich itself was a bit dull. I guess a bit of cheese could have helped.People were friendly and helpful and there were a lot of things to look at including the decorations left over from the Mashramani festival.Next time I will do some shopping rather than having lunch here.

I went to Maggie's several times for breakfast. I tried the pine tart which was quite good. The coffee was very good too. Both were affordable ($2 US for both). However, lunch options (limited, salads, sandwiches, etc) can be slightly more expensive. One of few places where you can find salads though. Nice, well lit and clean.

Internet doesnât work here and I got a cappuccino not the grande and later one I was charged for the big one. I warned the person and she told me itâs only one size. So she just charged the big one. After I came back and asked which one is the difference between the sizes and they showed me. Actually the size I got was not the big one and after the other girl gave me the change... I think itâs unfair to show two prices and later saying itâs only one size.
