Merridee's Breadbasket is a bakery / restaurant located in downtown Franklin, TN USA
We're locals who visited on a Saturday afternoon, hoping to purchase baked goods without having to wait in the very long food line--not possible. So, we stood in line, and decided what we wanted to try...At last--we made our way to the counter, but because there was a long line behind us, had to rush through our order. As a result, we got to the car realizing one of the items we ordered was not in the bag--no big deal--we hadn't been charged for it either. Since we bought a variety of baked goods, I can say the quality is overall, pretty good. But it's not exceptional. The prices, however, are exceptional. Pies, for example, are $17.50 each. Meaning, nearly twenty bucks when tax is included. I've tasted better pies that cost less. From the sound of various conversations going on around us, we weren't the only ones surprised by the prices. There does seem to be a heavy tourist trade and the bakery is located in the heart of an upscale suburb, so no surprise the cost is above average. The egg bread was very good, and I'd buy that again. But the pie slices, not so much. The cookies are good, but not memorable. All in all, this is an upscale bakery catering to an upscale crowd. If that's your thing, than enjoy. I'll probably go back to the Amish bakery where the prices are more reasonable and the baked goods really are exceptional.

Love this place! The food was so good and the service was friendly too. The home potatoes are amazing. The chicken salad and cranberry salad are great. The hot spiced tea is yummy. We didnât get anything that wasnât good. It is in a shopping center and pretty easy parking. They get pretty busy and it is not a large place. You might have a wait but its worth it. Certainly will return.

Cool Cafe blends "Fine Southern Food" and scratch cookin' for a scrumptious and hearty meal for lunch and dinner. We serve lunch Sunday through Friday and dinner Monday through Thursday. Entrees, like Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Pot Roast, and Chef's Special
Cool Cafe is wonderful! I eat there a couple of times a week and everything I ever order is absolutely delicious. I love their hot chicken, but if hot isn't your thing, the regular fried chicken is the best around. They always have a great selection of vegetables also, and each is great. The food is fresh, and flavorful and not from a can like so many meat-n-threes tend to be. If cold salads are your thing, they have about 8-9 of them each day and they're great as well. You can see a pattern here :) - really & truly the food is all delicious - owner Tim simply knows how to make delicious food, and it's consistently good. The tea is sweetened just right, the lemon is always ripe, the servers are friendly, the music playing in the background is fantastic....it's a lot of little things added together that make it my go to place a couple of days a week. You will NOT be disappointed if you dine here!Thank you for the very nice review. We look forward to serving you soon.

Very cute little deli. The salad bar is not impressive but can build quite a tasty salad. Recommend getting a sandwich salad combo since you can LOAD up the salad. I got a turkey sandwich with the salad which wasn't impressive but I didn't select impressive either... Delightful little venue. Packed at lunchtime! Pick you visit time wisely.
