The Cafe opened for a special occasion business function at night. We started with a very nice assortment of appetizers~ baked Brie, mini biscuits with bacon jam, and pork sliders. They were all delicious. The bacon jam biscuits were of note and several guests purchased the jam (made in house) to take home. The wine selections were quite nice. Domestic and craft beer were available.We had several selections for dinner but everyone ordered either the filet of beef or the shrimp & grits (house special). Devine! These were served with family style mac & cheese and the best roasted baby carrots you may ever have! All agreed their meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp & grits which were quite tasty with large shrimp over blue anson mills organic grits. Should you have the opportunity to try the bread pudding, I would suggest you do! All in all, this was a wonderful space, equipped with projector And screen-wonderful food and service.

It has a good atmosphere and good service. The food has a good appearance but, the french fries were not all cooked, some still frozen. Some of the food tasted like it had been in the refrigerator was a few days. A few of the prices are consistent with the area but most of the prices are over the top for the area. You can get the same food for lower prices a couple of miles from here.

This place is a gem. On the weekend, you can get an all-you-can-eat fish dinner. The owners came over and chatted with us about how they go through a lot of effort to find great local fish and other foods that have the best quality. I had the catfish dinner and another member of our group had the chicken tenders. Both meals were very tasty. This is traditional southern cuisine, so be prepared for a fantastic salty and fried foods. If you want healthy yuppie food, go somewhere else.Prices are great and all the food is top notch. Oh, and the slaw was AMAZING.

Some places are just more interesting than most. BLANK serves coffee/tea drinks and a few snacks like muffins and brownies and they have free wifi. What makes this place more interesting is that they sell comic books, vinyl records, CDs, including music by LOCAL bands and musicians. They also have some used books. In addition to parking on the street, there is off street parking behind the building and a back entrance at the back patio where you can enjoy your beverages when the weather is nice. It would take hours to peruse all of the music, books, comic books, and other cool nick nacks.

This is a great place to go when your in oakland. It's a good ride from town, but food is good at a reasonable price. If someone ever finds their way out there its good little place with a friendly staff.
