Great food with generous portions. Next to Saddlemen's Lounge.
This place gets three stars, two of those stars being for the large parking lot that could accommodate our RV. My pork sandwich was mediocre at best, my wifeâs Navajo Taco being virtually inedible, the fry bread being beyond stale and flavorless toppings. Lunch here made for an early dinner.

Local, Organic, Vegan and Gluten Free Choices made fresh daily with LOVE for YOU since 1985!
Ended up here for brunch today cautiously optimistic, as I am certainly a dedicated carnivore. They had sweet potato mushroom tamales with a mole sauce on a special and I went for it. That paired with an elderberry lemonade made a great meal. The blue corn porridge for a side with fruit also was amazing. My wife had the breakfast veggie bowl and like it very much. Our friend had the breakfast burrito and was happy. We shared a tofu "cheesecake" with chocolate that was far better than I ever expected it could be. Food was not inexpensive, but was certainly high quality and tasted great.

I will join the chorus of people praising this place. I needed to kill a bit of time in Flagstaff, and not yet ready to head to my beloved Macy's. Staying nearby, I stumbled upon Matador. What a find! The location/roastery is exactly my kind of place, with nice patio, industrial indoor space, and busy location. There is a drive-thru, I believe, too, for those inclined. The coffee (cappuccino) was excellent, and there were delicious vegan treats, also. The staff were outstanding; friendly and knowledgeable. One, in particular, was curating the music, and it was my kind of alternative soundtrack of garage/surf/indie music, that just suited the space perfectly. I wish I could remember his name to give him the 'props' he deserves. The road can be a bit noisy if you are on the patio, but that is my only (minor) complaint. I will absolutely be back.

Went to the Crown Railroad Cafe for lunch. I ordered the Charbroiled Bacon Cheeseburger with fries($10.69) and another ordered the daily special which was Cuban sandwich($9.95). Both meals were very tasty and had large portions. The service is good. As it is named, they have a train running along the wall and you also watch the BNSF trains go by.

Brandy's Restaurant and Bakery in Flagstaff, Arizona, is advertised as "a quirky cafe and art gallery serving inventive breakfast and lunch." Trout and eggs for breakfast may not be truly inventive but it's a delicious pairing that draws raves from diners at this popular outpost. Located at 1500 East Cedar Avenue in the Midtown Shopping Center, Brandy's has been satisfying customers since 1993, which is why my wife and I decided to stop here for breakfast on the first day of our two-week visit to Arizona. My wife had a fruit parfait with berries layered in a blend of local honey and yogurt topped with granola, then enjoyed a traditional Eggs Benedict with two poached eggs, Canadian bacon, English muffin, hollandaise sauce and signature country potatoes. I started with hot oatmeal with fruit, then had trout and eggs, a six-ounce pan fried trout with two scrambled eggs, English muffin and country potatoes. Yes, Brandy's is quirky and inventive but mostly a great place for breakfast.

We were looking for light lunch. Sandwiches and salad. Stumbled onto this jewel. For those familiar with Panera, very Panera esque. The prices were reasonable and the food delicious. My wife had the chopped salad with Asian Vinaigrette dressing. Very good. The roasted sweet corn was different for us, but well worth the chance. I had the BLT but changed the bread to the Rye, which I sampled as I walked in. Great choice for a light lunch. Our friend had the triple club. Beware, the cilantro aioli was the sharpest I have tasted. She couldnât handle the spice. I thought it was good. When in Arizona, look for one. Dear G8rStevenP61, Thank you so much for giving us a try, we are so glad to hear that you liked it. We love to see all your great suggestions. Hope to serve you again soon!

Weâre from Texas and realize the Mexican food here in Arizona is not Tex-mex like weâre used to but we have found places we enjoy well enough. This wasnât one of them and really disappointed after reading the other reviews. One person ordered a chimichanga and it was soggy with unusual taste, my husband had beef enchiladas that were greasy, another person had vegetable enchiladas which were okay but the black beans tasted like right out of the can. I had taquitos and they were ok but again a different taste. Three of us received our food after a considerable wait and my husbands arrived 10 minutes later with no apology or explanation for the delay. The chips and salsa were very good. $30 for two meals with only water and disappointing food was a real let down. Hello BryceSAWe are very sorry! â¹You are correct. We investigated your complaint and found that due to a busy night an inexperienced cook was trying to help the other cooks and many mistakes were made on some orders, including yours. This is not how we usually prepare food at Agave. If you are in or near Flagstaff, please contact us because we want to invite you back and buy you dinner. We know that this can not make up for the bad meal you had but at least you can have a better meal this time. [email protected]

While a little hard to find, (it is located on the main drag in Flagstaff, Route 66, just behind Babbitt Ford Used Cars), this quaint restaurant reflects the values and expertise of the owner/chef. She makes outstanding food that is quite unique and delicious. Originally just a catering service, the restaurant now offers a special menu of great food.Highly recommend.
