We only stopped here briefly for breakfast, but I couldn't ask for more. The staff was super friendly, quick to seat and serve us, and made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious with both unique menu options and the traditional favorites.

Great concept in creating a relaxing atmosphere for coffee and dialogue sharing. The menu is somewhat unique but very limited. The coffee products are competitively priced with Starbucks. The atmosphere is the feature here; the food is subpar. We had Avocado wheat toast which would have been better if they eliminated the hot pepper flakes. We also had wheat toast with Ricotta Cheese, banana, strawberry & honey which was very tasty but not the Ricotta that I have been accustomed to. In summary, they have an excellent opportunity to gain a real competitive advantage over Starbucks due to: 1) competitive coffee products but a tad less expensive, 2) excellent atmosphere and 3) a menu of freshly made items which scream HEALTHY! We will try them again as it is unfair to make a final judgement on one breakfast visit.

I do not see why these places continue to stay in business during a bad recession. Most interesting way to intimately engage the public that has money to spend on many items that they can probably produce on their own at home with ambition. Fruit juices do predominate the menu. Smoothies and juices do have their merits but they are over priced to be sure. Do not forget that this is the high rent district of the west side of town. Not the best place to watch or limit your spending habits if you are on a budget. Things could get expensive here. Nothing requiring the expertise of a chef is called for in order to make these items. These are merely back yard or kitchen drinks hat many of us can produce ourselves at home for far less money. They do provide a nutritional guide for help in selecting your drink. Fruit bowls for breakfast and lunch are available. Many of the items listed and described on the menu use words like "energize", "replenisher" and "cardio cooler" to attract your attention as if to suggest that you need courses in a medical degree terminology thorough fare to understand the benefits for ordering and consuming these items. "Healthy Harmony", "Pro Arobek" and "Age Buster" are used too. These names should make people suspicious about these qualities. The ingredients are said to be fresh and that is a selling point. The produce department in the near-by grocery store or speciality store can provide theses same ingredients. Nothing that unusual or difficult about mixing or obtaining them. I suspect the far too many people with money defend spending money on these items just to satisfy their desire for wanting to be healthy in efforts of protecting their children too. Country club-like atmosphere it seems to me might prevail here if you go overboard in spending so much money to do what you can do yourself at home for far less money. Sociology people can practice doing what they study and look at the people who visit this place regularly to know about consumer habits and behavior of patterns of people with money. I am sure that there are fresh fruits in these drinks and smoothies. But why must they cost so much here? I do have an answer to that question. Do you? I can not give it a rating above average in part because this is for the affluent people. I do not belong to that segment of society. I can think of so many better ways to give your child a nutritional treat with fruit than to spend money here. Acai especial bowl includes desirable commodities that should attract people like you and me. Fast Break bowl bowl is also appealing to people who like to consume fresh fruit. I refused to order them for reasons mentioned above. Simply stated folks, you can do this same preparation for yourself at home with the right ingredients and equipment that is now in many modern kitchens. Nothing mysterious about this for sure. Look at the words used on the menu to describe these items. Beware and be careful. Ask questions about sugar and salt content. Sweet shop to be sure. When you think about it these items by themselves can never replace a full well balanced meal. Good nutritional habits might not be in large supply or in store here. Why do people go into nutritional ecstasy over strawberry smoothies? I will recommend it for the reasons that are wanted by certain aficionados of this food but with some reservations as listed or enumerated above. This is not my type of place for a snack or alunch of you want to call it that.

I am happy to learn that the Nervous Dog has multiple locations. We were very comfortable —- spending some time enjoying our coffees here. It was well brewed and tasty. We resisted many treats in the glass cases. We had plain coffees instead of the many special alternatives. The ambiance was great—comfortable seating, many people relaxing throughout the space. Some patrons in conversations, others reading and a laptop or two around. We speculated that this location might have been an old bar, but it might have been constructed from relocated parts. Lots of regulars visiting for coffee and other items to go. Highly recommended.

Good food, even though it's in a shopping center. For lunch we had Avocado BLT on 7-grain bread with Cole slaw. That was all very tasty. Also ordered Black-bean burger on GF bun. The GF bun was very good. The BB burger was kind of mushy and fell apart making it hard to eat as a sandwich. Sweet potato fries were also kind of mushy but tasty. Service was very good. Menu kinda pricey.
