My husband and I went for brunch on a Sunday. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat. The downside was we had to wait outside. However, all was forgiven when we were seated. Love the historical décor and the food was amazing. Service was wonderful!! I viewed their pastry case and saw scrumptious desserts. The lunch menu looks wonderful as well, and we are planning to hit it up again soon to try it out. Don't miss this little gem on Franklin.

The decor and atmosphere here is great. They offer outside seating and it sounds like they are expanding the basement as well. The manager stated the wine bar upstairs has a different decor/feel than main floor with a balcony and they will be opening the basement soon. The menu had a nice variety and the food was very good. The only thing that kept me from giving it an excellent was the service. We waited quite awhile for our drinks (alcohol) and then had to flag the waitress down to ask for another drink and a couple more things as she hadn't been back around for awhile. It was pretty busy for a Saturday early afternoon and it seemed like this particular waitress was the only one working our side as she was very busy. Not her fault and it will not keep us from visiting again. Evansville seems to be growing by leaps and bounds and I Love what is happening downtown, by the river and the arts area.

While doing business with a local computer shop, I mentioned I was looking for a place for lunch. A female employee suggested Cafe 111 which was nearby. It was a great suggestion! Menu offers a variety of specialty sandwiches and salads, both veggie or pastas. Soup of the day. Excellent ambiance in the dining area to relax with friends over a quiet lunch or take a break from work. Clearly a popular place for ladies wanting a lunch outing, but I highly recommend it for the guys and couples as well. Reuben sandwich is great but has a kick to it for those who don't like spicy. Turkey breast is also super. This is a must try, I will return.

Itâs the kind of place where they know your name. Good service and a reasonable price. The food quality is always good. Never have any complaints. A pleasant break from eating at chain restaurants. We went for breakfast. Western omelette, chili cheese omelet and 2 coffees. All for under $20. Itâs on our list of local favorites.
