Have been meaning to come here for a long time and eventually made it for a Sunday breakfast with my wife. We regret it. I mean, the Mediterranean breakfast itself was different, however, does not fulfill the content of such a category. Although the plate required eating with bread (honey etc) the plate arrived with just 2 small slices of bread. We then asked for 4 more slices. Only 2 small slices arrived. Actually, it was 1 slice cut in half!!! Did not enjoy the breakfast at all! Would recommend you visit any other place for breakfast.

Finally BHP has a truly lovely coffee shop! Great food, yummy coffee, cool and friendly vibe. Welcoming and friendly service. So much better than any of the usual coffee chains, a real cut above the rest. Thoroughly recommend.

Great little place with the most delicious food, really nice atmosphere, clean. We ate a combination of starters including Mussels, Halloumi coated in a sweet sesame, stuffed mushrooms which were the best Ive ever eaten, anywhere. Great choice of wines and no tables on top of one and other. If your looking to eat amazing food at a reasonable price then look no further, you won't be disappointed, Greens all the way!Thank you so much for your kind words, we look forward to welcoming you again.

Live in the area but always kind of missed this place as its coming away & out of the town. Went with a friend for brunch & was very pleasantly pleased. Nice & cool in there as went whilst the heatwave was in full flow!Staff nice & friendly & was fairly busy too. Vast menu & decent portion sizes. Prices neither cheap or overly expensive compared to other cafes nearby. Definitely will visit again. Shame never went sooner.

Bowes Park is a nice little local station anyway but the Leafy Bean has given it a heart. Itâs just so lovely - very good coffee and lovely cakes and snacks and all manner of nice stuff. Lovely staff. They also have an amazing programme of events and community-ish stuff so they are really working the social responsibility angle - well done them!Itâs comfy and cosy in there and if you like trains, good news! They go past all the time. Itâs mostly the Great Northern stuff, local services on the rapidly vanishing 313s and their replacements the shiny 717s. But sometimes thereâs goods workings or big LNER trains for the ECML. I cannot strongly enough express my admiration for what a great great job the Leafy Bean is doing there. Itâs a little corner of heaven in a local station! Thank you for you review, we didnt know we would startv liking trains when we opened but its starting to happen. :) We hope that you will be able to join one of our events and see you again soon.

Visited today for the first time and had a full English breakfast and a special of leek, caramelised onion and feta tart with chips and salad. All our food was very good quality and tasty, served hot and cooked fresh. Certainly no microwaved ready meals here. The waitress was very friendly and efficient and the price reasonable for what we had. We will definitely be returning.We are really happy that you enjoyed your meal and appreciate the feedback. I found out about this place when I was hungover and wanted a cooked breakfast delivered. The food was so good even when delivered that I continued ordering and decided to visit.The first thing I noticed was that all persons are welcome, there were people working, mothers with babies and children. Itâs was friendly and welcoming to all.When we sat down the table was a little wobbly and as soon as we noticed a member of staff cane running over to fix it and we didnât notice it again.There is a lovely selection of food which was cooked fresh and to order.There is nothing I would change about this venue and I am looking forward to coming back at a different time of day.Thank youThank you so much for your kind words and we are really grateful that you chose to dine at our cafe. Had lunch in the sunny garden at this super friendly cafe, everything delicious, the coffee is especially good. Bought a whole cake for the school fete, got given the lovely glass plate it was on rather than have to risk damaging it purely on trust that we would bring it back. What a great find.....
