We stopped here for breakfast, and they were even willing to make my husband a Cuban sandwich off their lunch menu in the morning. Nice. My egg and cheese croissant was delicious, good coffee, and a heavenly blueberry muffin. You can also shop for specialty foods, deli foods, and wine. Don't miss it!

All too often, restaurants at 'institutions' (museums, botanical gardens) are afterthoughts; operated with a captive audience in mind. Not the Kitchen Garden Cafe. Somebody thought this through, and the result is an establishment where you want to linger. Service as friendly and unhurried; the food was delectable. Oh, and the view overlooking the gardens is spectacular.
Country market with great breakfast, home made baked goods and lunches. Very reasonably priced meals with a great atmosphere. During summer months opened for late night pizza and dinner. Selling Wicked Joe coffee by the cup and ground packages. We also ha
Excellent little place with terrific breakfasts (blueberry pancakes, especially), very good coffee. Tea selection = well-known household brand or green, so if you want anything fancier, bring your own teabag. Great service.

Not sure what restaurant these other folks are rating, I would not recommend Caper's. Ordering was disorganized, asked for no onions and got lots of onions and no avacado which I wanted, tables were dirty and we were the only ones in the restaurant so they weren't busy and could've cleaned. My Turkey and chipotle mayo tasted like I could've made at home. Wife's capacola on ciabatta was decent. Side of pasta salad was microscopic and funky tasting (attempt at thai inspiration fail). Just not a good experience overall and the lady doing most of the talking which I think was the owner came across as abrasive. I don't like to give bad reviews, I just want to warn others.

My wife had brunch here recently and had great things to say, so I brought her and munchkin back to have breakfast/brunch. Well, Mary Dee and crew did not disappoint. The food was served less than 15 minutes from ordering, and it was delicious! Very comfortable dining area, good music (not too loud), and great conversation with Mary Dee and Garrett. This place will be a regular stop for us from now on.

A breakfast and lunch eatery offering delicious homemade food in a bright and cheery dining room with views of harbor.
Based on both Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews, we drove 20 minutes to BoothBay Harbor and this quaint little cafe for the âBest Blueberry pancakes in Maine.â We were seated promptly and the server (Stephanie) could not have been more delightful. All five of us ordered the pancakes and they were wonderful. I would actually drive to BoothBay again just for this breakfast but since BoothBay has so many incredible shops and restaurants, Bridge Street just adds to my list of reasons to return. We loved this excursion and, as foodies, we unanimously recommend this cafe - especially for the Maine blueberry pancakes. Delightful!

Cozy and quaint cafe serving homecooked breakfast and lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating , and parking on site! Located within the beautiful Boothbay harbor downtown!
We visited this quirky spot in September, 2015 and had mixed feelings especially in the service area. Today was much improved in that aspect. We arrived at 07:10 for breakfast and were already the fifth table to be seated. When we left twenty-five minutes later the small facility was packed. Arrive early and bring cash in you want a smooth experience. No credit cards accepted.Coffee and tea are at a self service beverage bar and seemed very popular. We opted for water which was served table side. The wife went with the Spanish Omelette and I had the Mama âDââs Special Omelette. Both were good. The side hash browns could have been hotter.Table placement is tight. There was a large table of six older women sitting next to us with purses hanging over the backs of their chairs that encumbered both customer and server traffic.Service is on the slow side. I felt that maybe there is only one person the kitchen. The large table I mentioned had meals being delivered two at a time with an interlude of about five minutes. Total bill with tip came in at $23.00.Give this spot a try. Parking is easier than at most restaurants in this small popular tourist destination.Thank you for giving us another shot, and your review hit all based... Yes we are a cramp little spot, but, that does add to its charm ( quoting a customer's review) We appreciate all the time you took to review and we were very happy to hear from you. Maybe we'll see you again in 4 years. Thanks again, Mama D and Staff.

Great house made sandwiches, pizza, selection of beers and wine; eat in on small porch or take away for a picnic.
I have been to this establishment many times. Although the food is generally good the store food offerings are limited because the other half of the store is devoted to redundant art items to include small lighthouse replicas and other common beach memorabilia. This array of goods signals a lack of resolve as to what this owner wants the store to be!. More food could be offered and less art (much less) since the store occupies a place where it is the only establishment of its kind within 6 miles. This may be the reason why the fare is rather expensive. I leave this place wondering what the heck is the owner trying to accomplish?- too little of the good; too much of the redundant.
