Reviews on Cafe food in Dongguan, Guangdong, China. Dongguan is a prefecture-level city in central Guangdong Province of South China. An important industrial city in the Pearl River Delta, Dongguan borders the provincial capital of Guangzhou to the north, Huizhou to the northeast, Shenzhen to the south, and the Pearl River to the west. It is part of the Pearl River Delta megacity with more than 44.78 million inhabitants at the 2010 census spread over nine municipalities (including Macao) across an area of 17,573 square kilometres (6,785 sq mi). Dongguan's city administration is considered especially progressive in seeking foreign direct investment. Dongguan ranks behind only Shenzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou in exports among Chinese cities, with $65.54 billion in shipments. It is also home to one of the world's largest, though largely empty, shopping malls, the New South China Mall. Although the city is geographically and thus culturally Cantonese in the Weitou form and as well as culturally Hakka in the prefectures of Fenggang and Qingxi, the majority of the modern-day population speaks Mandarin due to the large influx of economic migrants from other parts of China.

more than just a German bakery. next to a wide range of breads, cakes and chocolates, we serve home made German sized portions. located in the backyard is a traditional beergarden. draft beers such as Hofbräu and Krombacher. Na dann, Prost!
Maybe we were there on an unusually bad day. We were four and only one of us really raved about her food -- a pork roll. Two of us had the pork schnitzel in mushroom sauce and though the sauce was tasty the pork was dry and chewy. The last person in our group had one of the salads and said it was fine. The wait staff did fine but it wasn't like they made it a special experience to be there. We'll try again but for a first visit, I'd say it was a letdown.

Dongguan is a city for foodies. There are so many great places to go! I found it very average at Alan's & wouldn't recommend it. It's location is great so it's understandable why it gets traffic. It's in the middle of a Western strip of deli's & restaurants, and it's 5mins away from a cool mall called DynaTown. The Full English breakfast (for around ¥50) was underwhelming. They only offer white bread for the toast option (again, so 90's) and the hashbrown & bacon were fried in old oil. With so many fab places in the area (like Liberty Brewing Co literally opposite) I would not chose to go here again. Thanks for your review, we take all complaints seriously, as for your issue with the white bread for the toast, it has to be said that the large majority of our customers request white toast and therefore buying in brown bread ends up being a waste.Your oil comments were passed onto my manager , who assures me that fresh oil is used daily , and I think this is backed up by the huge amount of used oil we move out weekly.Over the years I have been in Dongguan, I have lost count of the number of damning reports I have read or heard from competitors about their opposition. I do hope that you enjoy the great beers etc in Liberty Brewing Co
Went here for a a coffee and some pastries - nice setting relaxed good place for a relaxing conversation
