Dropped in on a wet and windy lunchtime and enjoyed really good traditional fish and chips. Staff are friendly and it's located just off the main beach with space to sit outside when it's fine. Good value, comfortable and they serve great home made cakes as well. Excellent burger and Fish Cakes also great.

Fantastic, full breakfast, before a days fishing. Sausage, bacon, mushrooms, egg, tomatoes, beans, tea and toast, and the offer of more toast, all very good quality and well cooked. A lovely soup and a trout dish on the specials board for lunch but the fishing stopped me from testing them too.Cakes were to die for, they looked fab!!Brilliant service from the staff too, will definitely be back!!As for the fishing, lovely lakes, well set out in a beautiful setting, managed to catch a few too, always a bonus.Highly recommended 5*

I visited the Idris Café to purchase âBara Brithâ to take back home with us. When I entered the Café there was one gentlemen being served by a young female member of staff, both conversing in Welsh. I waited for the gentlemen to leave before being served next. After me an elderly lady entered the Café and the young female member of staff started talking to her (in Welsh) and it seemed obvious that she was in the process of serving the elderly lady. When an older female member of staff (which had not been at the counter at the time of the elderly lady entering the Café) came up to the counter I asked her about the prices for âBara Brithâ, which she provided. To my amazement she proceeded to serve the elderly lady first. At that point I told her that the elderly lady had actually entered the Café after me. The older female member of staff retorted that the elder lady had been in before me. I again pointed out that this was not the case, only for the older female member of staff to insist that the elder lady had entered the Café before me. I replied to her âDon't give me thatâ!I purchased a small loaf of âBara Brithâ and handed the older member of staff a £5.00 note. In turn she slammed the change on the counter and turned away.In the context of the above it is noteworthy that another person back in February 2017 had pointed out the rudeness of staff when visiting the Idris Café. I cannot help wondering whether that was the same person that I had the misfortune of dealing with.I shall most definately not be visting this Café again!!!
We are a small cafe offering traditional cooked breakfast a small lunch menu and childâs menu we also allow dogs as where we are we have a lot of dog walkers, hikers and holiday makers We have recently opened on a evening as a bistro
Had a 2 course meal here. The scallop starter that we both had was excellent as was my pork belly and my wife's veggie kebab. The drinks list is very limited but the food was so good I couldn't knock a point of for that! I understand that this is a new venture that has only been open a few weeks. It's an excellent start and I'm sure it will be a success. I would suggest they look at the drinks offering down the line, but for now keep doing what you are doing - serving great food!Thank you for your kind words and yes the drink menu is very limited at the moment but as you have said it is all new to us and asinine as we get feed back of what the general public are after we can start stocking different things Again thank you for the feed back
