Beaucoupn de gens se retrouvent dans cet endroit le midi et on comprend pourquoi car vraiment le restaurant est sympa on y sert de la cuisine simple mais tres bonne avec des produits frais à des prix plus que correct

Choisissez une belle journée ensoleillée comme le jardin de la France en connaît; mettez près d'une vieille église en tuffeau une place calme où se situera une terrasse sous des arbres et des parasols en bordure de Vienne. Vous aurez constitué le cadre du restaurant "Le Petit Saint-Germain" à Saint-Germain-sur-Vienne. Cuisine classique et service très aimable permettront de passer en ce lieu un très bon moment

Second year we have visited. If you want a sit down meal at lunchtimes, enter via the cafe and make you way to the hotel dining room. Simple but fresh fare, from a short menu. Both times we have been, the food was freshly prepared, flavoursome and enjoyable.The cafe is part of Hotel Epoque, and it is their dining room you eat in.

This is a basic and unpretentious bar, it is less expensive than most in Chinon, but arguably the best view of any. To find the bar you need to cross the main bridge over the river, the bar is situated just the other side, it looks out over the river with magnificent views of the Fortress. The owner is cheerful. Well worth the extra few yards walking especially on a warm afternoon.

The Cafe de l'Hotel de Ville at Chinon is an average coffee shop which serves basic food when they are in the mood. It has changed hands several times in the last ten years. There has been a bit of refurbishment inside, but the attitude is not to my taste. BUt this is a very personal thing. Smokers are encouraged to sit outside and smoke which they do in all weathers and in the coldest winter temperatures. There is also quite a wind that comes off the nearby River in the winter. If you need a coffee, this cafe will do, but I can't think of anywhere else to suggest in Chinon that's much better. Instead, I would suggest, take sandwiches and a thermos flask of your own! This is not as daft as it sounds since the local authorities have provided wooden tables and benches off the roadside where people can picnic if they wish. Bon appetit!

One of the few restaurants in Chinon that were open on a Sunday evening. It was a very pleasant surprise - nice view of the bridge and the river from the terrasse, very good service. We chose the 3 course menu and the options from which to choose were plenty.Enjoyed it very much.
