Love everything about this cafe. Great food, friendly service and comfortable, funky decor. The food and drinks look amazing- the chef has great attention to detail. It is situated right near Artarmon train station. I highly recommend.

We had Sunday family brunch at the Allure Cafe. A nice setting along the highway. Coffee was great and made with love. The food was fantastic as well. Generous portions and very tasty. We tried the angus beef burger, omelette and waffles. All highly recommend.Service is very friendly and efficient. Try to get a table inside as the highway can be a bit noisy.Very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back at the Allure!

We had breakfast here. We had the scrambled eggs with bacon and the Antipasto (big) breakfast. Very good portion sizes and the coffees were great too. There seems to be a constant stream of "regulars" to this place. Would happily come back (and become a regular!).

As soon as we entered this restaurant we were enamoured by its eclectic interior and lovely designs. Who we assumed was the owner led us to our comfy table and we were promptly served water and menus. Service was all we couldâve asked for and the food was delicious. Have already started recommending it to others.

Straight from the parable to the plate, husband and wife team, Andrew Park and Lyn Kim, are feeding the multitude in Neutral Bay. Donât let the overt Christianity put you off: there are no meager offerings, and the only things stuffed down your throat will come via your own hand.Even the signage for the bright and airy café is discreet â from the street all you see is a simple black sign saying âCoffeeâ. Inside there's just a stylishly designed gleaming gold logo plate, some words hidden behind the swish white coffee machine, and a dangling gold cross around Kim's neck. It's a second-generation café for Park and Kim, who opened up an earlier café by the same name as part of a row of businesses in Chatswood. Soaring rents and a desire to refocus their lives on family and their two kids, has seen the pair downscale to this well-situated, sun-drenched Neutral Bay café.Under a tangle of hanging planter baskets, trailing vines, and hipster-inspired Edison bulbs on twine, I opt for a Beetroot Latte ($4.50) from the surprisingly restrained coffee-focused drinks list. Itâs satisfyingly pink, and easy to drink, if a little sweet for my personal taste buds. My dining companion had no complaints about their Dirty Chai ($5), which has an intriguingly complex aroma. With the decor looking so on-trend, I was kind of expecting the dishes to be a triumph of Instagram-worthy presentation over flavour. What I found instead was some of the best café food Iâve tried so far this year. Balancing healthy, clean eating with bags of Korean-inspired flavours, Korean Beef Tacos ($16) arrive looking like a veritable garden. Under a vivid green ginger, coriander and spring onion sauce, youâll find shreds of slow-roasted Angus brisket, Thai-style romaine salad, and flecks of spicy ssamjang Korean miso. With a squeeze of fresh lime, these two soft flour tacos are difficult to pick up, wet and messy to eat, but gee they taste fantastic.Chicken Fajitas ($14) are presented similarly, on back-to-back soft flour tortillas, though on this dish they avoid quite so much over-stuffing. Spicy char-grilled chicken, crisp shallots, and cabbage âslaw are lashed with sriracha aioli, giving them a satisfying but not overwhelming level of heat. I didnât want to stop at just one, but weâd already made a commitment to share both dishes. From the all-day menu, Homemade Labneh ($17) straddles breakfast and lunch rather nicely. Presented on a pink plate with a pink smear of herbed labneh, itâs a healthy collection of poached eggs, heirloom tomatoes, pea sprouts, grilled chorizo and compelling baby bok choy kimchi. With chimichurri and paprika oil toppers and a host of nuts and seeds, itâs a compelling collection of high-quality ingredients that eats well, with or without the accompanying linseed sourdough toast. Praise be!

Cosy, out of the way location set in a lining of trees. Service was excellent. We had a twist on classic avocado smash with feta, corn and cauliflower as well as the French toast. Both delicious and the kids could play to the side I out of other dinners way but still in sight. We will be back very soon.

We had our typically weekly visit to The Wooden Whisk today (20/March) and we quickly noticed something was very different. Apart from one recognised and brilliant waitress that again took our order today, there was not the regular smiling faces we have been so fond of for the past 3 years. We have enjoyed having our babies in prams assisted with carrying down (and back up) the stairs, informally and kindly reserving for us half of the communal table with a quick Saturday morning phone call for our team of toddler triplets, and the ultra consistent great coffee, fresh meals and the best service bar none in the area and beyond. On asking the waitress today that we have known from there for many months if there had been a change in ownership, she confirmed today was the first day under new owners. The kitchen staff remained, the one waitress remained too, everyone else was new to the Wooden Whisk. This post is just to say thank you to the previous owners and team over the past 3+ years. You did an incredible job and made a sit down at your cafe, far more than just a meal and/or coffee. Our children learned to eat at a restaurant (not always appropriately) at your great venue. I am glad I got to say to the barista (presumed part owner), whilst unbeknownst to me that it would be the last time, that she had just served me the best coffee, I had ever hadâ¦and I have 3 coffees a day for at least the past decade! Whilst obviously sad to see you go, you have absolutely nailed it with the timing I would suggest (the downturn is indeed coming and it's likely to be sharp) and we hope your next chapter is an exciting and great one. You all deserve it. To the new owners and team, the cafe atmosphere has changed for us literally overnight so we are unlikely to be back, however, you have retained high quality kitchen staff and a waitress that is as good as the WW had in all the time we visitedâ¦and they had many great ones. We wish you the best of luck and hope it goes well for you all. Cheers,Scott Crank

Bringing the beauty of the outdoors, inside. Flower Child is a café, a garden and an eatery passionate about creating memorable dining experiences anywhere, even a shopping centre.
Came to Flower Child for a coffee catchup. The place is quite busy and seating inside is quite squished however it is a lovely experience as the interior is done really well with foliage and flowers. This establishment is part of The Grounds of Alexandria and so the menu has some good offerings. There is also seating outside. Quite popular and the seats were all quickly filled up. It opens late on Thursday night.
