I am almost embarrassed to admit how often I stop here. Breakfast is a must here. Not only do they have a great assortment of pastries, they also have sandwiches and pizza slices. I have tried almost everything and I have no criticism!!!! My friends love the cappuccino, I love the macchiattone. It is a coffee with half the milk you find in a cappuccino. Sara and Francesca always have a great smile to greet you. Beware it is closed on Tuesday.

We visited La Posta, where we ordered the lasagna and canaloni, both of which were supposedly "made this morning" but were actually heated up from frozen in a microwave. We watched them as the heated one dish at a time and served it to each person so that someone got their dish every 7 minutes and no one could eat together without their food getting cold. Fake cheese and over cooked pasta. I would not return to the restaurant, I'd go right next door. We thought we could grab a quick bite for cheap, but the food was the worst we had our entire trip. Avoid!!!

The perfect morning break from shopping and sightseeing in Cortona is at Caffe Tuscher. The different styles of coffee...espresso, cappuccino, or American coffee...were all delicious. They also offered an array of delicious pastries to enjoy. After two weeks in Italy, our party was craving a good old fashioned American style hamburger, fries and a Coke. Caffe Tuscher fulfilled our every dream with their delicious offerings.
