We highly recommend the carriage house for afternoon tea. The selection of tea sandwiches and scones and desserts are always changing and we have never been disappointed. We have been going here for a few years now and whenever my husband asked me where I want to go I always answer the carriage house. We live in Philly and have a house in wildwood and we come here at least twice a month. Cherie is a fabulous waitress. Always with a smile on her face and always ready to please. You will not be disappointed in the carriage house service and selections.
I have been several times since Ostara's opened; West Cape May is just a short stroll from shopping experiences in Cape May and well worth the walk! On my most recent trip I had a carrot cake scone which was the perfect texture and a wonderful brownie for my children which was quickly devoured! West Cape May's dining options just got even better!!

This primarily organic market has great smoothies and delicious made to order wraps (also vegan). The market has owner/chef made sauces, pickeled vegies etc as well as all the necessary organic cereals/snacks/medicinal concoctions one could need and the people are very nice and accommodating. It is more for pick-up than eat-in.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner (in season) right on the beachfront in Cape May. Friendly, Casual Atmosphere. Great breakfasts & delicious lunches, fresh burgers & cheesesteaks, scrumptious seafood & vegetarian items.
We sat outside at one of the little cafe tables and really enjoyed being at Zoe's. We had breakfast- both had egg sandwiches and coffee for a very reasonable price. Everyone was extremely friendly. It was a very relaxing restaurant experience.

Thanks for a great 2019 - We'll be reopening May 1, 2020. As always serving traditional favorites alongside innovative healthier options.
We were visiting the antiques center across the highway, when we spotted the cafe. Cute setting on the water, so we decided to give it a shot. Good cup of coffee, and many creative breakfast choices. The buttermilk pancakes with bourbon butter were excellent, as was the French toast and creamed chipped beef (if you are a fan of such a thing). They almost make homemade smoothies. There is a menu of choices. Theyâre good, as they are not too sweet. Service was excellent. Weâll definitely return!

I stopped at Madison's Bakery for a quick snack one morning when I was walking around Cape May's beach area. While the doughnuts look very attractive, I have had better. They tasted like supermarket doughnuts.I had a jelly doughnut and even though the jelly tasted fine the doughnut had a spongy consistency and didn't taste anything like either a fried or cake doughnut. It tasted rather grainy. It was fresh and did not taste bad but I have had better doughnuts in bakeries in Northern New Jersey. The service was friendly and the selection is nice but for $1.75 a doughnut there are better options on the beach front side.

This place really annoyed me...I came based off of good reviews for reasonably priced food... So at face value the breakfast menu looks good. $5.50 for 2 eggs toast and your choice of meat. However... My husband also ordered this and one waffle. So...they left off his toast and charged him full price for the eggs and waffle... So we paid 5.50 for 2 eggs and a piece of sausage and another 5.50 for one waffle.$20 for breakfast served on styrofoam plates. I didn't catch that error (no toast) until the end... And then it was more trouble than it was worth for me to address it with the girl. Go to uncle charlies.... We paid $30 for breakfast but you get substantialy more for your money. This was our last day in cape may and by that time we felt nickled and dimed and this was the last straw.Perhaps the girl in the front needed some more training and this was an oversight (to forget the toast). My husband was more irritated by the Styrofoam plates. I'm irritated at the lack of value and not being asked if we wanted the toast. Perhaps they are better with lunch and perhaps the girl was in training but... It could have been better.Sorry about the toast! We do certainly have new folks training for the season, and we do strive to provide a decent value for our year-round business. We are mainly a small take-out operation as you can tell by our small dining room, so the sytrofoam plates are for easier cleanup! Let us know how we can serve you better, and I assure you, we really do serve the best lunch in town!

Just steps away from Cape May Lighthouse, The Red Store serves new American seasonal cuisine with seaside flare. Join us for brunch/dinner, and shop authentic Jersey Shore souvenirs at our General Store.
Everything about The Red Store was great -- service, food, atmosphere. It's fixed price, six-course, creative cooking, great variety of dishes, beautiful dining room (we were inside because of the heat), friendly, professional service. The night we were there (7/19/2019), the menu started with a board called Pancitos & Picadita -- smoked trout, cured meats and cheeses, homemade naan, a brioche roll, pickles, vanilla and lavender butter. Along with that was course #2: empanadas (vegetable and chicken). Course #3 was delicious hamachi ceviche with watermelon. Then came squash soup with coconut, crab, zucchini and basil. I could have happily had another bowl. After that, risotto with chicken confit, tomato and cheese. Finally, my wife had seared scallops and I had striped bass. Both were perfectly cooked and outstanding. For dessert, panna cotta with blueberry. I would DEFINITELY return and we plan to in October, before it closes. We look forward to having you back soon, Michael! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and for the kind words.
