After an hour or so in the museum we were less than 1/3 through. The photos on the wall in this cafe were from the same collection So the atmosphere continues-Great food good choices for the family and generous portions. I loved the cullen Skink after being disappointed elsewhere

Award winning Pie Shop,Restaurant and Coffee Shop
Always pop in here on my regular trips up the majestic west coast and it never disappoints. There's both savoury and sweet pies packed to the rafters with all sorts of creative combinations and I'm pleased to say I've done the lot! Pie heaven lies here...it's a long old drive from pretty much anywhere but worth every second with some of the most stunning landscapes you'll witness anywhere on this planet IMHO around every single corner.

We stopped here for lunch after doing the Big Burn walk (also highly recommended !). Excellent selection of food - I would have liked to have tried all the deserts and cakes but after a super goat cheese and red pepper toastie with salad and crisps, there was only room for one - a fabulous Turkish delight cheesecake. Itâs a very friendly place and is highly recommended for a tasty lunch or snack.

Coffees, Tea, Homemade Pasties and Pies, light lunches and Cakes. Why not stop for a stop to refresh yourself. Coaches welcome for refreshment only from 9:00am to 10:30am, or after 3:30 pm appointment preferred especially if calling outside opening hours.
An interesting cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee and a good selection of food. We arrived too late for full choice of food, our fault. Itâs open 10am to 4pm with plenty of parking.

Located on the first floor in the former Sheriff Courtroom The Courthouse Cafe serves delicious breakfast, lunches, home baking and speciality teas and coffees seven days a week.
Loved it! So beautiful and a lovely theme and restoration! Fab food and even better cakes! Such a beautiful venue and friendly service. Not the best for knowing about allergies in the cakes however there are options for most people.

This place is wonderful. Great service , great food all locally sourced, beautiful location , great ambience and very reasonably priced. We turned up at eleven - that horrible in between time after breakfast and not quite lunch time. Many places have that hour just for coffee and cakes but not here. We were thrilled to be given the choice of the lunch menu or the breakfast - how sensible is that ? We opted for the Pier breakfast- potato scones, bacon, eggs, black pudding etc but there is vegetarian or smoked salmon options. It was beautifully cooked, hot and fresh on lovely crockery. Hot drinks were fab - loved my latte which was hot and not the dreaded luke warm. Lunch menu looked amazing and we contemplated having a wee snooze in the car and then going back in for lunch. Shame this isnât on my doorstep as Iâd never be out of here. Thanks again, guys for some great food and great service.

I stayed here one night whilst walking the John O'Groats Trail which goes past. I received a very warm welcome from John and Karen. My room was large with a comfortable bed. Some things were a bit rough and ready but I had no problems. Basic facilities though the shower was excellent. The rogue basin tap got me every time!I was lucky to be able to eat supper with the couple. Ramen noodles were delicious and pudding with cream was devine.Breakfast of home made granola, toast and coffee.A great place to stay and eat on the coast.
