Things to do in Burnie
Banjo's Bakery Café is a bakery café with a difference. We combine freshly baked breads, sweets, savouries, pies & pastries with quality espresso in a dine-in café environment. We really do have something for everyone!
Burnie was one of the stops on our cruise ship itinerary. After exploring the area, we had a light lunch at Banjo's Bakery Cafe. Banjo's is like a sit down deli.I had the Tasmanian smoked salmon pita, while my wife had their specialty, the scallop pie. The pita was good, while the scallop pie was unique & very good. The restaurant/deli was bright & clean.I would rate this establishment above average, GOOD.

We stopped in for a coffee before heading into the nursery. There was a great selection of home made cakes and meal items on the menu. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the coffee (and that's no easy task!) and the raspberry cheesecake we shared was delicious. It was great that we could also have our dog and sit outside with her.

While staying in Burnie, my partner and I enjoyed breakfast here - raisin toast for me ($5), a big breakfast for him ($16). I was so impressed with everything that, while he was working, I came back later for lunch - a delicious chicken schnitzel wrap (with heaps of sweet chilli sauce just as I requested) and a creamy vanilla malted milkshake ($14).

Cafe and Deli serving breakfast and lunch till 3pm
Dropped in with a friend on a spur of the moment decision looking for a light lunch. A busy little place with a modern cafe ambiance. Plenty of choice including the breakfast menu until 3pm. Plenty of healthy choices too including gluten free options. I had the twice cooked sweet potato which was topped with melted cheese and accompanied by diced avocado and other tasty ingredients. Very nice, as was apparently my friend's quiche lorraine. He chose pasta salad as a side, but plenty of other choices on offer. Service of the meals was a tad slow if you were in a hurry (fortunately we weren't) Prices were realistic and we both found our coffees pretty good.

I disparaged Burnie in an earlier critique about the lack of quality cafes - please forgive me! After a more thorough investigation I discovered not just the Europa, but other hip and happening venues well worth a visit. Clearly the Cafe Europa is the localâs haunt. Busy, extraordinary food and a great vibe - and when I visited, no music...thank you thank you thank you! When will cafe owners realise that music might entertain the staff but guests hate it!This is a great local business and I encourage all visitors to make a bee-line when in town!

Fully licensed modern café/restaurant + wine bar in Burnie's CBD. Serving breakfast + lunch 7 days, with dinner + drinks Thursday to Sunday nights. Serving delicious coffee in the form of venezianos Forza blend. We always have a delicious range of housema
Had lunch here to day and it was very good indeed. I had the beef and bacon burger whilst my wife and son had the battered fish and chips. We all enjoyed our meals. I asked to swap my chips for a salad and this was not issue at all. Also had a fresh juice. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating. A mice amosphere in and one building with a very nice vibe to it. We intend to come back and try the breakfast offering in the next day or so. Well worth a visit.

Donât let the unassuming exterior and tired sign put you off! This place is a gem of fabulous food and great service. The menu isnât lengthy - about 11 mains choices, from recollection, but the restaurant isnât big and what they do is done well. Beautiful presentation, adequate portions and something beyond what you might cook at home. A main course with wine and coffee is a little over $30. Not open in the evening except by special arrangement.

Called in for lunch and was not disappointed. Did not have what I wanted (as just sold out of the steak at 1215 hrs?) but chose the burger which was delicious, coffee was excellent and the service fast and friendly. Very busy cafe but well organised.
