My husband and I visited the Singing Kettle for our lunch today. The staff were lovely, friendly people who gave first class customer service. The cafe was clean and tidy. My husband chose the Shepherds Pie with homemade chips and peas and I had a Coronation Chicken baguette with side salad and coleslaw. We finished off with a Milky Bar cheesecake and a Malteser Cheesecake and a cup of tea. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be visiting again! We remember you well, you were lovely. Thank you for a great review x

Called in for coffee and cake mid Sunday morning. Good selection of cakes. We selected scones which were excellent. Staff very efficient. Plenty of free parking too.

Situated a few minutes drive from the main road from Cottingham to Beverley (A164) Folly Lake Caf'e sits on the banks of Risby Park Fisheries overlooking the historic Folly Lake. Open daily, the licensed café has ladies & gents toilets, offers indoor seat
The location is ideal for walkers/ramblers and fishermen. Itâs far from the main road, surrounded by the lake obviously :) and greenery. In other words, very pleasant and relaxing setting. The café itself seems to rely too much on these assets. The service was very slow and they still managed to mess up the orders on our table and a table nearby. Some plates even went back to the kitchen!?I had a piece of coffee and walnut cake. What a disappointment! I could see the walnuts so they were in the cake but the coffee flavour was non-existent. What I could taste though was the sugar and there was plenty of it, far too much. The espresso was not the worse Iâve ever had but not great either. It was not overpriced but not cheap either and they donât accept payments by card.

Its some times hard to find a nice little cafe that sells gluten free bread and cake unless u want to pay an arm and a leg. Oliver's is warm, friendly and reasonably priced. I would defenetly recommend x

We were bought an afternoon tea voucher for the 2 of us. Phoned to book a table and time. Welcomed by staff and given 2 options for tea. Chose the more traditional one of small sandwiches, scones and sweets.Excellent value for money and very filling. Offered endless pot of tea which we took advantage of. Also packed up the brownies for us to take home and eat later. If it had not been so windy we could have eaten outside. Can recommend, especially as a gift to someone elseThank you for your kind comments following your visit to the café here at Drewtons. It is always rewarding to read positive feedback reflective on the service and delicious food we offer both in the cafe . I have passed on your comments to the cafe team. Our ethos is simple but our offering is vast, whilst working closely with over 250 local Yorkshire farmers, producers, growers and suppliers. We are proud of our menu, many in-house events supporting various local charities, and we receive excellent feedback when catering for private parties and special occasions. We have received many awards since opening in October 2010 and our customers are very much part of these successes. We look forward to welcoming you back.Kind Regards

We met up the 4 of us for coffee and cake,it was ok but nothing special,i think the tables are to close together, cramped up in a corner.I think a warning should be given when you are picking up the tea pots, some have very hot handles,or very bad pourers, hot tea spilling over

Recently visited this cafe and it was actually perfect. The service was impeccable and they made us feel welcome. The coffee was great and plentiful. However the food, oh my, the food was incredible for such a small establishment. The menu and its items were put together carefully and brilliantly and was perfectly cooked. We have already planned to come back another day later in the evening for the live music and a few drinks. An absolute gem of a cafe and perfect hosts.

My friend and I visited this cafe december 2017 for a quick bite to eat and drink. We were given a warm welcome from the waitress and following perusal from a varied menu we chose homemade quiche salad. The food and beverage was lovely, fresh and tasty and all served in good time, The small corridor at the rear selling various quality items was a pleasure to see. I have been before but it was my friends first visit to this cafe and will visit again. Anyone considering this venue will not be disappointed.Hellooooo.... Thank you so much for your lovely review. I think I remember who you were too. Lovely to meet you and we hope to see you again very soon. Best Wishes for the festive season. Debbie

Millers is a very friendly tearoom with a wide choice menu including daily specials which is locally sourced where possible. We also serve great coffee and huge home made cakes.
I live locally and I am a regular visitor to Millers. It's a gem, in a delightful sylvan setting, close to Raywell House. The new menu is varied and offers delicious food at reasonable prices - try the burgers! Service is always prompt with cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. Millers uses locally-sourced food, which is not difficult in East Yorkshire. Everything is prepared in Millers kitchen, including a range of fantastic cakes - try the Bakewell!Millers is a busy place, particularly at lunchtime, so reservations are advised. The restaurant now opens in the evenings at weekends with an excellent bistro menu. I've been three times and really enjoyed it.
