On Stracathro Hospitalâs doorstep the Services offer a gift shop, ideal for hospital visits and good wholesome no frills large portion meals. I stopped for a bacon and black pudding roll and a latte. Both were excellent, service was welcoming and prices were very reasonable, I will definitely be going back!

Roadside restaurant/cafe with 2 seating areas. Carpeted quiet/private dining area which seats over 50 and an american diner style seating area which seats over 50 with large tv.
One of my favourite places to stop over the years. The food is consistently good and usually good value. Ordering breakfast I was charged an extra 75p for a small plastic pot. So. Breakfast and other meals good valueAvoid the marmalade!!
Having been a number of times I can only speak very highly of the place.Freshly cooked food, top quality ingredients and even better value! Friendly staff and owner which makes it very welcoming.A great venue for Brechin - I can guarantee you wonât be disappointed. Breakfasts and burgers are faultless and the freshly made cakes/deserts are a must. Donât go without trying a sweet course after your main meal - theyâre delicious. All at exceptionally good value!

House of Farnell is a shop and a cafe'. As I am Danish the stock in the shop is mainly Scandinavian. And in the cafe I sell real Danish pastries together with lunches etc
Another of my frequent visits to the Christmas shop and cafe, and never fails to please. The array of unique Christmas decorations and accessories on display is stunning, with regular new stock and all with a Danish theme. The items are quality and moderately priced. Very easy to get carried away.........The small cafe is warm and friendly in the old school. The home made soup varies daily and is the best around, served in pottery from the shop. Soup sandwich combo with Danish flat bread. Delicious. The perfect location to add to your decorations or splurge on new ones with a lovely lunch too. Whatâs not to like?

Having come from Aberdeen, we were looking for a nice place for lunch and happened to stumble across this place. Reviews were good and the pics looked good! The only drawback and has been mentioned by others is the coffee is not great, the milk is heated far too much and makes an enjoyable beverage scalding hot. Onto the good stuff, the food. They've a good mix of food on offer and a bunch of changing specials. Goats cheese salad to start and for the first time my partner and I both ordered the same main (roast lamb and the trimmings), and finished with a sticky toffee pudding. We left stuffed and happy. It's a small town and one which can be easily missed, but do take a look and try here.

Called in for lunch and was well looked after. It's a busy place and I felt just a bit of a cog in the well oiled wheel. The staff were a little brusque and matter-of-fact and I almost felt I got in the way of a highly efficient operation.Menu was attractive, varied and well priced and I can see why the place was so busy with locals.

Bright and airy, newly renovated coffee shop serving light food, including sandwiches, panini, tasty soups, baked potatoes, home baking, and more.. Situated on the A90 southbound, 2miles south of Brechin
Stopped in with wife and her family . The cafe is very clean . The menu is okay but not much choices for vegetarians or vegans . Nothing marked on the menu with a V . Staff are polite and helpful . Toilets are immaculate . Will go back but will try other places locally first .

I absolutely love coming here for their hot savoury scones. They are absolutely delicious. Take note it is a 3hr round trip for me but well worth it. The food here is really good and very reasonably priced
