in the Market square of GOUDA, the cheese town,overlooking a beautiful church is this Gem in the country side of Netherlands, Beautiful town and cozy setup, makes it a perfect vacation dinner spot, the outside and inside seating sets the mood, with fire lanterns and heaters, and the Staff speak Good english and they have english Menu, The food was really good, and their salad was one of the best salads i ate, their fries were out of this world.. Het Wapen van Reeuwijk is always nice to go to. We had the black agnus meat and it tasted just right. Besides that don't expect too much excitement. It is a no nonsense you get what you order restaurant. With the great location it makes it worth the visit

Early on a September Saturday evening the old-fashioned interior was already full but luckily it was still warm enough to eat outside, with a good view over the market square. The cheese soup, with bits of bacon, celery etc, was very good but also very filling, which slightly spoilt my enjoyment of the traditional pan-fried mussels and chips which followed. Perhaps I should have gone for the pear and blue cheese salad which my wife had and which would have been a lighter option. We were told that we could have extra portions of chips for free but we were too full for that. Never mind, the food, a couple of beers and watching the world go by made for a very pleasant evening. By the way, noted that they stopped serving food at 8.30pm.

Nice restaurant next to the complex office. Friendly staff,and a good menu for all tastes. The Lasagna was excellent. Good choice of wines by the glass. Friendly staff.

This was the first cafe that we saw on this days cycle. Popped in for a tea or coffee whist it was still raining, ended up with that and a tomato soup and a bit of sunshine outside.Wifi was none existent, couldn't get the password that we were given to work. But the tea and coffee was good, tomato soup was very tasty.Shortly after we arrived, the 10 North Americans that we had been talking to at the hotel came to the same cafe.

Awww, I really enjoyed being here. We visited with friends on a very busy Saturday night and although it was crowded, the table service was still very good. There are loads of craft beers to try and they are written with a description on boards above the bar. We ate here too and the portions were absolutely enormous. I had to leave half of mine as I just couldn't finish it. We all enjoyed what we had. There's plenty of parking nearby. Hopefully I'll visit again as I believe you can have a tour of the windmill during the day.
