We visited yesterday for lunch with a few hours child free. I have seen on Facebook people talking about the cheese and onion pie so I thought I'd give this place a go. The staff were really friendly, happy, cheerful ladies. And the atmosphere was really lovely. The food arrived really quickly and it was piping hot. The cheese and onion pie was amazing, the best I've had in a long time from a cafe. The biscoff cheese cake is highly recommended aswell!! We will definitely be visiting again!

We are a friendly local cafe offering a range of healthy delicious food! We have plenty of vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options available.
Have noticed this cafe driving past for a while and kept meaning to visit. Today I called in and was amazed at how good the food is. Cafe is very clean and smart with a varied healthy menu. The Budha boxes looked very good and were very popular. I had the smashed avacado on sourdough toast with poached egg, bacon and mushrooms. It was very tasty and was well presented. The coffee is also very good here. There is something on the menu for everyone here and the prices are very reasonable. Service is also good with very pleasant staff. Will be visiting regularly in future. Thanks very Much Mike! We will look forward to your next visit.

Cafe/Restaurant serving freshly cooked breakfasts and homemade lunches. Hot and cold beverages Friendly, excellent value for money. Nothing is too much trouble.
Given all the good reviews i had high expectations..The staff were great, friendly, attentive.Hot drinks couldnât faultThe food was bland and tasteless, I had meat pie, it wasnât seasoned and was very boring. Partner had a breakfast which he wasnât impressed with either.Lots of other places to try out for breakfast/lunch so wonât revisit here Iâm afraid.

Called in at lunchtime for a cuppa...but the warm welcome, scrumptious aromas soon changed my mind!! I ended up having a coffee (Americano) & biscuit, followed by a wrap (Spartacus) which was packed with a delicious mix of cheese & Mediterranean vegetables, followed by guess what, another wonderfully tasting coffee which this time came with a chocy. The service was friendly, effective & efficient. The dining area welcoming & cosy, but sufficient space, clean & tidy. The actual deli is filled with interesting buys. Really pleased I went. A rare gem in Darwen centre!

We stopped here for lunch after a canal walk. It is an absolutely superb little cafe, serving a good selection of hearty homemade food. It has a lovely open fire, very welcome on a chilly day. There is also seating outside by the canal for warmer days. The owner and regulars are extremely friendly, had a nice chat with them about our walk!

Tried The Courthouse today for the 1st time for some lunch with the wife all i can say is we'll be back! Good quality food at a great price. The cheese pie really is cheese not mash like most. The rag pudding is full of chunky steak. Everything was piping hot which is rare these days. Got a pot of tea each there were 2 tea bags in each pot so got extra water and had so much tea we almost popped. Paying the bill we noticed that any profit made his to charity which made it even nice. Lovely clean place, visited the toilet absolutely spotless. Well done to you all we admire you!

After all the reviews on here was expecting much better. Visited on a Monday lunch with friends. Average sandwiches, very expensive for two pieces of bread and a filling. Music too loud. Draught coming from open door to outside eating area. Service quite slow

A café created just for you. Café Northcote is here to welcome you in Blackburn's Cathedral Quarter. You'll find exceptional tea and coffee from Northcoteâs suppliers and a simple delicious menu all day, every day.
When I saw the name Northcote I assumed this would be some kind of overpriced outlier of the Michelin starred restaurant, how wrong I was.A lovely comfy place to sit, delicious sandwiches and cakes and a generous pot of tea. Delightful smiley staff who could not do enough to help. The cooked breakfasts looked delicious. If you want something to read, there is a Morrisons 1 min walk away who sees papers and there is a charity shop there that will even sell you a book for a quid. Also well worth a look at the Cathedral.

Brunch! is a cosy cafe and takeaway in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn. We offer a varied menu to both eat in and take away.
My husband was waiting with me to have a haircut nearby so popped in to give our young sons some lunch while they waited. I met them afterwards. The cafe is small but not cramped and there was a clean high chair available for our younger son. My two sons had omelettes and fruit squash, husband had poached eggs and black pudding on toast with a coffee and I had a toastie and chips with a fruit tea when I joined them. All the food was quick and good quality served by a really friendly man who took the time to speak to our children as well as us. When I went up to pay the bill, we thought there was a mistake as it was only £12 something. We checked but he assured us it was right. So good food, friendly service, amazing value. Will definitely return.
