The place was packed so service took awhile but friendly service. My eggs benedict were the best I've had! I loved the flavorful lemon chive Hollandaise twist, the homemade english muffin, the thinly slice smoked ham - fantastic! Next day went to our usual standby the Westside cafe in Vail, ordered the eggs benedict again and it didn't hold a candle to yours! I will review on their site to brag about you guys!

No substitutions and no changes!! No ânormalâ eggsââ but, great big cup of tea!!! Asked for eggs with avocado (on menu) WITHOUT balsamic vinegar. Dish came out with balsamic!! Sent it backââ secondstyempt: eggs over cooked and the tomato slices still had balsamic vinegar on them. Not coming back here as it wasnât busy and itâs inexcusable to get order wrong then act like it was my fault.

Has gone downhill in the past few years. Food seems stale and service is mediocre at best. I want this place to succeed because it has a great history.

Have been travelling Highway 43 for years and am dismayed that no one mentioned this place before last summer! Small, old-style general store with attached Post Office, has WONDERFUL home baking--especially the doughnuts, nice and chewy, with either cinnamon sugar coating, or vanilla glaze. Must be a local and trucker well-kept secret, because we have been there a few times now and have had to line up for the next batch of FRESH, HOT doughnuts. I bought extra and froze them for the family. They are just like fresh if you put the frozen ones in the toaster oven to re-heat. They usually have fresh bread and cinnamon buns too. I believe that in the summer, there are stands outside for burgers and ice cream. Bought some thick socks there, hand made in Canada with locally raised alpaca wool. They have other Canadian products, as well as a good coffee machine. Check their Facebook page for hours and days open, as this small business varies on the season.
