Things to do in Barry
Locally run Cafe, providing All Day Breakfasts, Afternoon Tea, Cafe Classics, Lunchtime Lite bites, Fresh Cakes and drinks.
Recently new cafe and popped in with my kids, more than welcoming in there, great offers on food, most items under £5 and plenty on the plates. Great selection of cakes which the kids loved and even gave them a box to take the cake away with us as the portions were too big for them to finish straight away. Definitely recommend this place if you have not tried it yet then do so soon

La Cucina is a mixed Mediterranean cafe and tapas bar Enjoy fresh pastries, breakfasts and coffees by day... Wine, tapas and exotic cocktails by nigh. Fully licensed fantastic rustic atmosphere.
Love meeting my daughter here, you can guarantee as you walk through the door you feel the tranquility. The service is laid back but the food is wonderful, love their paninis, so full of flavour perfect for a lunch time meal. Beautiful cappuccinos served here too.

It's on FacebookIt's a really friendly cafe, popular for breakfasts and lunches, run by two aimiable brothers who produce good, reasonably priced breakfasts and lunches, and bake their own delicious pies. Very popular with locals, and very clean and tidy.
We popped in for breakfast on a Monday morning before heading home from our weekend away. The quality and the quantity of the cooked breakfast was very good, the price was very good value. The owners were very friendly and are obviously popular with the locals. The only issue I can see is parking as it's in a residential area. We managed to find a space on a street about 100 yards away.Thoroughly recommended for breakfast.

There can't be many semi rural restaurants that are full on Thursday evening, The boat House was. With a varied menu, swift service, excellent ingredients and a warm welcome we found a little gem in the Vale of Glamorgan. The restaurant has ample car parking a choice of local ales and a good selection of wine. It won't be long until we are back.

We visited The Eating Place last night with my daughter and family. In the party we had 2 vegetarians, 1 vegan and 1 gluten free! Not easy to cater for but all was well and it wasnât a problem at all to cater for everyoneâs needs. The food was delicious and nicely presented - and not expensive either. The portions are slightly on the large side, so make you are really hungry when you go! We can thoroughly recommend a visit - you wonât be disappointed.thank you for your valued review we are so happy that you enjoyed your evening ata the eating room and look forward to seeing you again soon

have tried a few cafes over the years being a tradesman, breakfast ok service not so good.also if you do table service why do you make people pay before they have eaten? £4 for one egg on toast is a little steep aswell. Better cafes close byHi Ian,I'm sorry to hear you were dissapointed with your visit. In order to improve would you mind elaborating on what you felt contributed to the poor service? We pride ourselves on our service and regularly receive glowing reviews highlighting this so a bit shocked to hear you don't agree? We take payment beforehand as its something we have always done for the past 20 years and found it works well. We are a fast paced cafe and with growing wages and costs of food we run on minimum staff. It would be a bit too much to run tabs and collect money at the end so it's just easier for us in order to run the business as smoothly as possible. If there is ever any problems with your meals we would not hesitate to offer your money back if this was the concern? As for the £4 for one egg on toast. I understand your comments, but as said before with the continual rising costs of wages and overheads in the shop we have to run a baseline on food orders. Some people would prefer smaller meals but it is simply not doable at cheaper prices when you are central to the town and thus have to pay extortionate business rates. We gave very resonable priced breakfasts and meals if your looking for something with a bit more value. For example, we offer a full cooked breakfast, with toast and a cup of tea or Juice for £4.99 before 11.30.Please come give us another shot Ian, I'm sure we can turn this around. feel free to come chat to me and make yourself known. ill be the bloke behind the coffee machine.take careMarcproprietor

I canât fault K9 the staff are so friendly and welcoming, food and drinks perfect, I sit outside the chairs are comfortable, the tables are always being cleaned, the toilet clean, a perfect place to relax, and the prices are very reasonable. Well howdy, we got this, just after your last visit, itâs been great seeing you and really enjoyable watching you relax outside (as if youâre in some Mediterranean country taking in the views)? anyway, your smiles were just as important to us as our good service was to you.Looking forward to seeing you again.bye for now

We had the set afternoon tea for a dozen people with tea or coffee and a selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. The facilities are good and the staff very helpful. We had a table for all of us to sit around which was good for chatting and the food was plentiful although a bit disappointed in the selection of sandwiches as none were containing meat.

FORMER Dragonâs Den hopeful and Hot Diggidy Dog chilli sauce entrepreneur Simon Llewellyn has opened The Sausage Revolution. We serve a range of fresh hot dogs, mash in a box, breakfast in a box, Cuban sandwiches, freshly made pizzas, ice cream trays and
Possibly the worst, undercooked, fattiest bacon sandwich Iâve ever had. Some of the oversized greasy sandwiches may appeal to junk food fanatics (there were a lot of contractors/builders in there), but not for me.

We visited on a Saturday morning around 10am for breakfast. The quality and the quantity of the cooked breakfast was excellent. From the bacon, to the slices of bread, to the milkshake, we thoroughly enjoyed it all. We couldn't fault any of it and the price was very reasonable. Staff were cheery and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended.
