The Coffee Cup has been in downtown Lake Zurich since there has been a downtown Lake Zurich! (and that's a long time!!) Nothing fancy......just damn good food...⦠served the "old-fashioned" way. (Like a spoon served in your coffee -- not on the table!!) Not much of a "creative" menu -- just great bacon & eggs -- or ham or sausage! If you go -- you'll have a great "no-frills" breakfast -- so hop on over and enjoy ! BTW...â¦.they also serve a tasty lunch!!

We were looking for someplace new for breakfast and decided to eat here. The place was very busy and we had a nice p breakfast with friendly service. Try it out. We enjoyed our meals.Hi Howard! This is a great little place for an ice cream or other sweet treats in Barrington. I took my nephew here a few weeks ago when his baseball game was cancelled. He got a watermelon shaved ice that he said was really good, and I got a malt made out of mocha chocolate ice cream - an off-menu item the owner made up on the spot because I was debating between the mocha chip ice cream or a classic chocolate malt. So good! The owner was super friendly and prices were very reasonable for the Chicagoland area. They also carry a wide variety of classic candies and other sweet treat. I was expecially intriqued by the make your own pixie sticks area, but sadly we didn't try that.If you are looking for some obscure candy from your youth, I bet they have it (or can get it).I'll definitely be taking my whole family back here next time we are visiting Barrington and I've recommended the place to our family members that live in the area.
I was invited to a volunteer meeting here and was so pleased with the little private room we had reserved for our use. The room seats 20 but we ended up squeezing in 24, which worked fine as we setup only a small row of tables with lots of chairs around them. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The staff is nothing short of kind and the coffee and food is incredibly delish. I had a Mocha Latte that absolutely puts my usual Starbucks to shame. And the Coupe De Ville breakfast sandwich had a wonderful blend of tastes. Those in the meeting with me all agreed the quality, taste, and prices of their purchases were spot on.With a menu that includes hot and cold drinks. smoothies, pastries, and sandwiches I only wish I lived a bit closer. I would make this my go-to place. I will certainly stop in every time I am in the area. How nice to have such a small, homey place to spend some peaceful time in.

What a treasure. They have a huge selection of ice cream, shakes, toppings and more. Best of all they have dairy free and gluten free selections. These people take the time to make sure what you are eating accommodates dietary restrictions and cleans serving utensils, scoops and blending equipment. The decor is bright and cute and quality and service is tops. I recommend highly.

This place is amazing......I can't believe it took so long to find it! Husband and I were looking for a new breakfast place to try out - he stumbled across Southern Belles based on reviews, and we decided to give it a try. This place is AMAZING!!! First, the service is fantastic. The food variety is amazing - so many different options! They have southern comfort food, and a lot of healthy options as well. It's a cute atmophere too - in an old building that really has that "homey" vibe going for it. We love this place so much! Can't wait to go back again this weekend :)

I meet my daughter and grandkids here frequently for brunch. The menu is fantastic and the quality is top notch. The gluten free pancakes are amazing! they are so light and fluffy. I like mine with blueberries and blueberry compote. The omelettes are awesome and they have plenty of the fillings you order. Also, the morale of the staff is so great! It's a pleasure to eat here. Thank you so much for taking the time to write us this wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed the delicious food and great staff. We look forward to your next visit with us and thank you again for the great feedback.Taki Mullins
