Have been to The Cooper Gallery on numerous occasions but had never been to the café before.Visited at 1pm and it was very busy (the first day of the new Picasso exhibition) but managed to squeeze in without a wait. There was a good choice of hot and cold meals and snacks to choose from and I was even more pleasantly surprised at the price!! I had pie & peas and a cold drink all for less than a fiver! Wow! The portion size was just right and it was lovely and homemade. The quiche looked amazing but unfortunately it was sold out. I would love to try it next time.Very affordable and good quality. The staff were clearly rushed off their feet but still had the time to be very pleasant and friendly to everyone.Well done! I can't wait to return Thanks for the lovely review so pleased you enjoyed your lunch, the quiche is very popular hopefully there will be some left on your next visit, thanks once again and we look forward to seeing you soon

We always call here when we are shopping in Barnsley for a cafetiere of coffee and a large slice of cake! The cake is always so fresh and delicious, it's always a problem deciding which one to have. The staff are very friendly and prices very reasonable.

Me and a pal walk on a Wednesday morning and follow the walk with lunch somewhere near. We walked around Silkstone and Silkstone Common and saw Cafe Cocoa reviewed on Trip Advisor, so we gave it a try.I had my usual BEST and my pal had a bacon and egg sandwich. The cafe has a large menu with lots of variety of food. Everything was top class-the food, the surroundings and particularly the staff. We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Family run coffee shop based in the Monk Bretton area of Barnsley, just 5 mins away from Town centre. We serve hot and cold food to eat in or takeaway, all home cooked on the premises, our cheesecakes are to die for With quality teas and coffees why not g
The cheesecakes here are sensational so much so I do a 30 mile round trip for them! It's not only the cheesecakes I've also eaten in and again the food is incredible. A very warm inviting cafe that's well priced and the quality is always there!

The village store and tearoom is in a delightful setting. The sandwiches are very nice but also over priced,if you want a small amount of salad with your sandwich you pay an extra pound for this. Sliced bread is used when they run out of bread cakes but this is from a small loaf and for some reason the crust is cut off at one end. The pies can be served hot or cold but you pay an extra £2 for a bit of salad on the side,no coleslaw or anything else. People with children and dogs be aware that the business has been reported to the local council regarding noise levels and you are requested to keep dogs and children under control so as not to upset the neighbours. This would make me feel very uncomfortable.Dear PaulWe are sorry you feel we only deserve one star, and I can assure you I am taking your comments onboard and where necessary make changes. We have just recently increased our prices for the first time but I will look again at these. I think some of the addons you may have a point and aim to address these immediately. To be fair to us we only offer sliced bread when we run out of bread cakes and you have the option of accepting this or leaving without a sandwich. We do this not because we want to make more sandwiches but to try to oblige when we run out.Recently the festival visitors and the weeks of contractors setting up and dismantling the festival, the weather all have contributed to irregular patterns for our supply and it has been very difficult to predict what we need to purchase. The sign in the garden highlights that just one neigbour below only has complained to the council. The sign has been requested by the council as a courtesy note to ask people to respect that our Tea Garden has 3 adjoining neighbours and to help us keep potential noise levels down. I agree this is not ideal but the location of our business requires just a little more care. The noise complaint has not been verified and after monitoring by the council concluded with no justification to the complaint. We are always full and it would be easy to be complacent and completely put off kids and Dogs but we have the lovely customer cliental with dogs and kids that are happy to be respectful of our problem. Please donât give up on us call in and talk with us.

Newly extended and refurbished, The White Bull serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea seven days a week as well as dinner on Friday evenings. Head chef Tim Bilton and his talented team use home produced beef, pork and lamb to create delicious food. Fea
Ate at the doggy friendly section of The White Bull....same menu which is a varied menu with good choices.ordered at the till. This was slow partly because of lack of staff and partly because when orders were placed the food order were sent through to the kitchens but the drinks order was dealt with straight away. this slowed things down when making coffees etc.It was a busy day so the food took a little while coming. However it took even longer to come because the order number we were given was different to the order number sent through to the kitchens. So this meant the waitresses were walking around looking for an order number that didn't exist and meanwhile our food was going cold. Eventually the mix up was sorted but the food was no longer hot.Having said that the food was tasty.maybe things will be better when the new gog friendly restaurant is in action

Came for lunch and a wander around. Lots of parking. Busy in the cafe at lunch time. Managed to get a table and served quickly. Efficient and friendly and reasonably priced. Cappuccino wasn't the best and we had the Croquettes which were very tasty but one was slightly undercooked. I have been before and the food has always been good so maybe just a blip.
