This lovely café is located at one of the exits from Barking station. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. They do drinks and snacks. I had a very nice cappuccino.

I use this cafe, for breakfasts, lunches with friends we meet up once a month, can always rely on a good meal, good service nothings to much trouble clean friendly service takeaways available.Very busy cafe but it's huge so you can always get a seat,I love the jacket potatoes, and lasagne but all the food is fresh and tasty .Close to barking station and most buses stop right outside
Very clean place with a mixture of yummy goodies, excellent cakes, selection of savoury pastries as well as sweet. Toilet facilities were very clean and looked after. I would recommend a visit for a nice cuppa and even if itâs just a look at their fabulous cakes itâs well worth it.

Down in London for a show at the Excel and went to the café two mornings. Breakfast was really good, lots of choices and made to order. Great coffee too! Staff friendly and very efficient. Definitely recommended if you are in the area; much better and cheaper than hotel breakfast!
A lovely coffee shop tucked away in the railway station. Coffee and snacks are delicious, and their customer service is always excellent. The best place in the area.

A charming and intimate bistro serving many different dishes originating from along the Mediterranean coast. We had great service from the really friendly waiting staff and the food was excellent. The menu has a varied range of dishes to suit most tastes, all of which we tried were thoroughly enjoyed. They all felt very authentic and original. The price was very reasonable as well, especially considering the quality of the food.P.S. the best Calamari ever

We've lived in Barking since the beginning of the year, and always meant to pop in at the weekend for breakfast. A few weeks ago we finally did, and have been regular Sunday visitors ever since! What a lovely place! From the iconic movie posters on the wall, to the very friendly, welcoming staff, this café is a gem. After one visit, we were welcomed back like old friends. The food is delicious - I've become addicted to omelette and salad, having not eaten an omelette for years. The prices are very reasonable, especially for freshly cooked food, and the service is quick and cheerful.Lovely place. Thanks Claire for a great review , it's good to be apriciated.

We were staying in Barking as a cheap base for visiting London and used this cafe every morning for breakfast, as well as having our dinner here the afternoon we arrived. Friendly service, food very good and the kids ' menu had a great choice too. So glad we found this place as we ate well on a tight budget.

The Boathouse Cafe and Bar is Barking's only riverside venue. With a large terrace, adjacent to the river, we serve light snacks, such as sandwiches made to order, sell locally produced craft beers, Doppio coffee, locally made cakes and terrific cocktails
Possibly THE best soup ever...full of chunks of lamb with potatoes and dumplings. This plus the great salads, great tea, paninis plus a table overlooking the river. They even arranged for the sun to shine. The cheerful greetings from Catilin and Derrek made us welcome and I would have ordered the soup without the sample Derrek proudly offered us...but the taste clinched the deal.We were recommended to checking out the website for details about the folk evenings and it is a great find in a rapidly developing area.Check it out while you can still get inThank you for your lovely review - and we shall pass on your delightful praise to our Sweet Mada!Hope to see you again soon. Regards Alison and Derrick
