Reviews on Cafe food in Ballyvaughan, Province of Munster, Ireland. Ballyvaughan or Ballyvaghan (Irish: Baile Uí Bheacháin, meaning "Ó Beachán's townland") is a small harbour village in County Clare, Ireland. It is located on the N67 road on the south shores of Galway Bay, in the northwest corner of The Burren. This position on the coast road and the close proximity to many of the area's sights has turned the village into a local center of tourism activity. We honestly just stopped in because we couldn't find anything else open. It's not the type of place I would usually stop it looks like it's attached to a tire or mechanic shop or something. But this is one of those do t judge the book by the cover things. My wife ordered a waffle and bacon and I got a sandwich and chowder. All the food was excellent. We decided to grab a couple brownies to go and they were amazing.

We're foodies who searched out amazing restaurants during 3 week driving tour in Ireland. THIS IS IT - THE BEST OF THE BEST. Its been joyously owned for generations of one family. Cathleen Connole is a fun, gracious host with lots of wonderful stories. They grow, forage, and produce their own foodstuffs locally. Handmade - you'll taste the love. I posted photos of some of the most amazing dishes. Organic, farm to table, and committed to environmental sustainability. Oh and if you are really really lucky you might get to pat the gorgeous well behaved pups that live next door with Cathleen. With three weeks of special lunch and dinners this experience wins the BEST OF THE BEST. I wish I had bought one of the coolest art pieces on the wall too. The meal, the conversations, the wine!!! and the atmosphere will stay with you in your dreams. If you visit the Cliffs of Mohr, keep going past the tourist trap restaurants in the town and stop here. Its heaven.

Dropped in around 11.30 on Holy Saturday. Not quite full but busy. Lots dropping in for takeaway coffee.Friendly staff seating not the most comfortable. For some reason it's easy to get served your coffee etc but much more difficult to pay.
