Seated straight away and our waitress was prompt and curtious. Arrived for a late breakfast/early lunch just before 12 so ordered the Club sandwich with soup and my daughter ordered the Turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich with soup also. Both sanwiches were served on lovely fresh brown bread with plenty of ingredients and were so delicious and the carrot and coriander soup was gorgeous. Looking forward to returning.

The AnTea-Que Coffee Shop

I love coming home and getting to go here. The staff are always super friendly and the food is amazing. My favorite is the breakfast club ( great cure for a hangover). The teas, coffees and cakes are always delicious. The only negative thing I can say is that you can’t change anything in the full or mini Irish breakfast. I asked if I could have a sausage instead of a rasher and was told no but I could pay for the extra sausage. This didn’t make sense as I had to pay for the rasher that I didn’t eat so surely it wouldn’t have been to much trouble to make this change.

This is a local café and gift shop set up by the Camphill communities of Ireland, a charitable venture which supports people with leaning difficulties. It is part of a larger venture to the rear of the café which provides accommodation, farming activities, food market and various other artisan ventures. There is also a nature trail (free) which is highly recommended which we have reviewed separately.Everyone in the café is very friendly and we had breakfast here after staying at the Rooms at Bardon’s next door. Food portions are not particularly large but what was provided was good.

We stopped for afternoon tea here recently. It has always been a favourite stop over for me enroute to Athlone. Great choice of cakes and desserts too. But I couldn't believe the price increase! Practically all cake slices and desserts €5.15. Only one dessert lemon drizzle cake was less than that at €4.30. I had this. It was nice. My daughter opted for a rice crispie square which we assumed was cheaper only to find when we paid, that it was €5.15 too Definitely OTT. Considering the location and it being day time I think the prices are too high. Our server said this is because of the increase in VAT and the quality of the ingredients. It's a pity about the prices but a nice place to eat and food is good.

I arrived down from Dublin with an hour and a half to spare and took my chances on the BeaNice Cafe on the main street. I got parking just outside and popped in. The first think I noticed were two little girls in school uniform sitting up having their breakfast, there were the owners kids, and as their Granny was away they were helping their Mum and Dad. I got a great cappuccino, smooth and full flavoured and served at the perfect temperature. I ordered scrambled eggs and brown toast. Eggs average but brown bread they were served with was delicious. I only intended eating one slice....but couldn't resist the second slice - served with plenty butter! Will be back - but hopefully next time to try their lunch.

Hi folks I decided to visit my favourite eating spot again the other day. Would anything have changed, would the service, food or ambience have dropped in standard ,well not a bit. In fact they are quietly basking in glory. You can't beat getting an award or recognition of putting the hard graft and keeping your stards up. Yvonne , Seamus, Shirley and the rest of the gang work like a well oiled cogs to bring you the customers the best eating experience in Newbridge Have to say I love this place Especially before a hard days Graff to be pampered and fed and watered by the best.
