Located in the heart of Cape St. Claire, the Blue Rooster Cafe is a down-to-earth neighborhood cafe where friends and family can come together to hear a little Blues, have a home cooked meal, sip a cold local brew, or enjoy a great cup of coffee.
Our first visit was last month, and this was our second. Small restaurant, 10 tables, open for breakfast and lunch only. Open 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. with breakfast being served all day. The restaurant has a New Orleans bent with lots of NOLA pictures and menu items. Shrimp and grits! Friendly staff. You order from the counter, and the food is bought to your table (they also have carry out). Husband says coffee good, Bloody Mary's as well! The BLAT sandwich (bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato) was very good. Nice fresh slices of avocado, not the spread some restaurants are using. Waffles with chicken gravy was also a hit. Nice selection of wines and beers. Will have to come back for lunch next.

49 West has an ambiance that is replicated all through Europe but brought to you right here in Annapolis! We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. There are plentiful amounts of wines by the glass and a nice mixture of bourbons, cognacs and martinis. Th
Busy cold morning. Waited forever for service. Finally made contact with wait staff. Young man waiting on us was very rude, unable to get us a menu, âtoo busyâ to answer our questions. Finally got coffee and a few muffins. Coffee was very weak, muffins were stale.

Very good food. Nice friendly atmosphere. Clean bathrooms. I ordered a Grump Burger medium rare and it was as ordered. My order was to go but very reasonably priced. The burger was more expensive than I expected before I entered, but we'll worth it when I got it. Cooked to perfection.

The major advantage the restaurant has is the ability to sit outside. However, the chairs are cheap and very uncomfortable. Money is not being put back into the restaurant. I food and service was less than stellar. I had breakfast in which the eggs were lacy and hard, the scrapple was sliced so thin and too crispy. The grits were tasteless. I had to ask for everything, i.e. silverware, jam, butter, water, etc. I doubt I will go back.

Stumbled across this place while a few friends and I were walking around downtown Annapolis (it's not necessarily located where a ton of people are generally walking around). There were so many options! The staff was nice and the potatoes were excellent. They put "greens" on their potatoes and you wouldn't expect it to be that good, but you'd be surprised. I had the Caribbean Potato and it definitely had some spice! I would go back again in a heartbeat.

We arrived early and were seated right away. My omlete with crab, ham, and swiss was very tasty. My husband ordered the coconut French toast. It was a very large portion. Beware it is very sweet to the taste. Our waitress was very nice and efficient.Thank you kindly for sharing your feedback and review with us. We truly hope to see you back again soon.
