Reviews on Cafe food in Anglesey, United Kingdom. Prehistoric stone markers and monuments dot the landscape of the Isle of Anglesey, serving as stately beacons to visitors. The beaches of Rhosneigr are great for surfing, fishing and diving. The dunes and pebbly shores of Broad Beach span from the village all the way to the Barclodiad y Gawres neolithinc burial chamber. Hauntingly beautiful Beaumaris Gaol will give you chills. Warm up with a pony petting session at Foel Farm Park.

So unassuming from outside but inside the food and service is fantastic. Great place to have a bacon sandwich for breakfast the bacon is delicious. Friends stayed with us and we couldn't keep them away, kept going back for afternoon tea, coffee and scrumptious cakes! The owners and staff were really friendly and accommodating. Great take away food also.

Love coming here for a nice cup of coffee and watch the boats. Today we ordered food. Sadly, in my opinion, the food we were served was not good value for money, leaving us extremely disappointed. The ingredients on my salad, although tasting fine, were shockingly sparse. Similarly for the bagel. In contrast, the portion of skinny chips were hot and crisp - lovely. Overall, I expected better and left disgruntled!Hi Richard. Thanks for visiting yesterday with your very cute dog!I must say however, I am dismayed to read your words here this morning. We took extra care to make your coffee order exactly as you precisely instructed us: one cappuccino with extra hot milk (extremely important) and another, making sure the same milk wasnât used as you, like myself, understand that overheating the milk is no good for the taste of the coffee â but only with a single shot as you donât like it too strong. We were also as accommodating as possible in swapping out the ingredients of the Cypriot salad to include goatsâ cheese instead of halloumi, and made sure to put plenty on despite the fact it costs us more to buy in.Having seen the food leave the kitchen, I reject the accusation that the ingredients were âshockingly sparseâ. The halloumi stack which your pleasant and cheerful wife enjoyed was the same size and contained the same amount of ingredients it always does. Granted it is one of our lighter lunch options, but this is reflected in a lower price point.Your bespoke salad was also no smaller than it should have been and contained a decent and appropriate amount of kalamata and green olives, sun-blush tomatoes, and the aforementioned goatâs cheese for its price point (none of these are cheap ingredients) and dressed with our home-made dressing. In fact, as it left the kitchen a team member remarked at how nice it looked.I am glad you enjoyed the fries; we had the thankless task of taste testing lots of different ones before settling on these!2 cappuccinos, 2 meals and a side portion of fries cost you £21.60, and whilst this might not be as cheap as some places, I can assure you that it is in line with other similar cafes in the area. More importantly it is a fair reflection on the quality and expense of the ingredients we choose to use to ensure that our food is the draw that keeps people coming back time and time again. What I cannot understand is, if you were so extremely disappointed, why you didnât mention this to us at the time. We endeavour for customers to leave happier than they arrived and would have attempted to remedy the situation, regardless of our views on the complaint itself. To keep it to yourself however, only to leave and immediately discredit us in a public forum solves nothing. It robs us of a chance to show our apologies and means that you still leave unhappy, whilst at the same time defaming us to potential new customers.I would implore not only you, but anybody reading this, that if you are in any way dissatisfied with things you have paid for or service you receive in any restaurant, café, or similar, to bring it to someoneâs attention. I guarantee that 99% of the time the establishment in question will do as much as they can to make things right, and if they donât, well then thatâs the time to consider writing a review online.Kind regards, Eddie & the small and hardworking team at The Swellies.

Stopped by and shared a table with some locals who come frequently. Tried the ploughmanâs lunch since Iâve read about it often. Those ploughmen needed lots to eat, definitely more than I do! Nice serving of ham, several varieties of cheese, pickled onions, cole slaw and bread on the side. Quick, friendly service too.

What a treasure to have found. The staff are friendly, professional and discreet. The food is absolutely fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised at the range and prices.I enjoyed a Posh Fish Finger Butty (from the 'Lunchtime Specials' menu). I would happily have paid up to £10 for this. The fish was delicious and the portion size was generous. We also ordered a 10oz gammon steak which was exceptional. My partner would have easily paid double, if not more for this. Brilliantly cooked and an incredibly generous portion, again. In short, every single meal we had was superb. The quality, portion size and service are faultless.Thank you, we'll definitely be back. We're already messaging all of our friends and family to come and pay a visit!

We visited this week and had a superb mug of chai each. The food was great, but limited menu even as vegetarians. If you don't want to eat everything served in a croissant, you will be a little stuck. I just wanted a good old granary bap!To be fair, I managed to get my halloumi served in a wholemeal and spelt croissant after some discussion but really bread would have been nicer and less greasy. Not served wih any salad either, which was a shame. My partner had homemade hummus with a pitta and salad, and it looked amazing.A few comfy sofas or armchairs would make the place feel a little more comfortable and less bare. Having said that, we are local and will give it another whirl.(bizarre chandeliers... is it just me?!)
