Since we stayed a week in the campground adjacent to the Cafe we knew we would eat here at least once during our stay. The Hostess, Becka, greeted us during our campground check-in. She is so bubbly and effervescent we were compelled to walk back for lunch right after setting up our RV!! We are glad we did!! Nearly everything is made in the cafe, including all of their baked goods!! Our lunch of burgers and a French Dip were sublime. It looks like a typical, little "cafe-in-a-campground" from the outside, but far exceeds such expectations as soon as you walk in the door. I would recommend this as a destination dining stop, not just an adjunct to the campground.

We had just pulled into town around lunchtime and stopped at the Mendo Cafe for a quick bite. The service was adequate but the food was excellent. No real complaints on the service- our server was prompt and polite. I had the Thai Hot Pot. It was filled with flavor and it was a generous portion. My husband had an egg dish special that he said was good as well. Lunch on the patio was pleasant as the weather was ideal.

Excellent food and good service. If you are in a hurry, don't stop here. We did stop and were very pleased with the food and service. Not "run of the mill" food and always fresh.Will plan our next trip around stopping here again.Really want to try their House made hash. Yum
