Providing good quality ingredients, and a place where everyone can eat together. Set in one of the oldest buildings in Worthing town centre.
My wife and I had walked past the Orchard cafe quite a few times since we moved to West Sussex a few months ago, and it always seemed to be pretty busy, an encouraging sign in our view.Breakfast menu looked tempting so we popped in there today (Thursday) and we 'd clearly missed the early morning rush. Clean, welcoming, attractive decor, and very pleasant staff. The full 'meat' breakfast was delightful and generous with regards to portion size. Sausages were particularly meaty and tasty I thought. My wife chose the rather more 'sophisticated' Eggs Florentine and was hugely impressed not only with the presentation and quality of cooking (she's a pretty good Chef in her own right!) but also the amount of bacon that formed part of the dish. Cooked crispy just she likes it.Other dishes that came out the kitchen to subsequent customers looked equally inviting. Staff were friendly throughout, and service was very prompt, delivering up delicious and hot meals - none of this lukewarm stuff that I can't abide. In our experience, we found this to be one of the apparently few eating places in this area that welcomes only 'Guide dogs'. We like animals, but not when we're eating! We'll be back.

As one of Worthing's newer eateries, we decided to give Jonny's a chance before a trip to the Pavilion. We had a warm welcome and swift drinks arrived. Jonny suggested hummus and olives to nibble on while waiting for our mains. Very tasty with warm pitta and celery and cucumber to dip. Our burgers arived on a board with chips and homemade slaw, all very flavourful and enjoyable. Great ambiance and delicious desserts of brownies and sticky toffee pudding. All in all a lovely night out.

What can I/we say. This place just goes from strength to strength, we come here quite often and never ever anything but perfectly freshly cooked food complimented by great hosts, however last night exceeded all expectations. Everybody from proprietors, chef and front of house staff just went the the extra mile and more to make the family birthday meal one to remember, Lily the Director of the hotel & restaurants daughter made a special cake which was superb, as was every dish for everybody in the party, cannot thank everybody at Indigo enough and of course Lily.

Healthy nutritious food and guilt free cakes and bars. Vegan, vegetarian & several options for the whole family, couples & those eating out on their own.
As I said a ridiculous long wait.Ordered two salads. Nothing needed cooking. Given an order number. For some reason we were the last to be served as I think others complained. It was a late lunch already and the 45 minutes wait made me feel quite unwell and far too hungry to savour the food. The 'special tea' was nothing special. The salad was ok, but no way worth the wait. Paid extra for olive oil dressing. No carbs or protein with the salad, (£10) just seeds, had to order some bread to bulk it up.Thank you for taking the time to write this review for TripAdvisor. I do find it ridiculous though that you didn't give your feedback to me or a member of my team at the time, particularly as you said you had started to feel unwell. We might have been able to assist you in some way! Instead, you chose to create a new account, then write and submit your review to TripAdvisor. It is disappointing your first review is not more balanced and constructive.I must correct some inaccuracies in your review. Some of your statements are simply not true. As one of the owners, I was actually working on Saturday and remember your particular order. The longest wait on food orders on Saturday was 25 minutes at peak time during service. At no point did any customer wait longer than 25 minutes for food. I was monitoring this closely with the Chef. I can assure you that we did not receive any complaints from other customers during Saturday's service. In any professional catering establishment, food is always served in the order it was taken. The fact you had salads and not hot food does not, and should not, make a difference. It would be fundamentally wrong to prioritise your dishes over others. I take issue with your statement about our salads. Our range of salads have been designed by our chef, an eating psychology coach, to be nutritionally balanced and delicious. They contain an array of superfoods, hemp seeds, and yes carbohydrates. The quinoa and roast vegetable mix that came with your salad is indeed a complex carbohydrate. In fact, our menu offers customers the opportunity to also add either tuna, salmon, prawns, mackerel, chicken or egg to the salad base. I think most people would agree there is plenty of opportunity to add more carbohydrates to the dish if you had chosen to!!Finally, you mention 'special tea' not being that special. We do not offer special tea and never have done, but if you mean the range of Kombucha tea we are now supplying, this is a product that a lot of cafes and supermarkets are now selling. The health benefits of Kombucha are well documented so I do not feel I need to go in to this here.

Itâs not very often our visit to Sussex goes without a visit to Sylvan Oak and this occasion was no exception. Itâs like coming home when you walk through the door. Everyone is extremely welcoming and the service is fantastic. Our food was amazing - absolutely stunning presentation and flavours to die for. First class all the way. Thank you to Sinan and the incredible team he has around him for making our visit so special.

Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Nice decor inside. Nice sunny beer garden outside. Child and dog friendly. Loads of boardgames to play whilst waiting for food. I had one of the best steaks I've had for a while, beautifully cooked with a lovely peppercorn sauce. Also came with loads of chips. Really reasonably priced. Very nice thanks. We'll be back!
