What a fabulous experience! Booked by the wonderful Ania who was so helpful to my husband when arranging this for my birthday. We sat in the restaurant with panoramic views of the surrounding beach and ocean! Fantastic service and the high tea was out of this world. Beautifully made mini sandwiches and cakes that were to die for and a bottle of bubbly too Couldnt eat it all and this was no problem as it was boxed up to tale away too!Thank you so much.we will be back Thank you for your recent review, we are delighted to read that you enjoyed your birthday Afternoon Tea at the Watersmeet. We are pleased Ania assisted with the arrangements ensuring the occasion was made perfect and that the Restaurant team provided a fantastic service on the day. Describing your Afternoon Tea as out of this world is a real compliment! We look forward to welcoming you back to the Watersmeet soon.

If you want a nice honest pub meal, then you can't go wrong here. Nice varied menu, from classics such as prawn cocktail and more, to slow cooked pork belly and goat curry. Welcoming staff and fair prices (not sure why anyone would think it's overpriced?)Recommended.

Under current ownership since June 2010, this charming British Pub in the pretty village of Georgeham is less than 2 miles from some of the best surfing beaches in the UK, and on the doorstep of Exmoor National Park and the rest of beautiful North Devon.
Nothing above average here; the menu reads well but the dishes don't really live up to their description. I had a lovely piece of fish served a very over-powering "cassoulet" not a bean in sight! Even in a country pub, does the landlord really need to sit in his shorts eating his dinner on the patron's side of the bar when the service was lacking. Shame 'cos it's a great location and in the word of the ol' school teacher, could do better!

We booked for 14.30 expecting to find that the tables would come free but people were still arriving after three o'clock. There is a selection of local beers as well as Timothy Taylor's Landlord Bitter that has come all the way from Yorkshire!Roast beef is rather tradional for Sunday and very generous portionsThe parking outside the pub is on the small size but there is a village car park about 50 yards near to local church. Our sat nav took aan odd route that turned into a bridalway - if you come from Barnstaple, turn left in Braunton towards Croyde and then to The Rock

My husband and I recently moved to Woolacombe and celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at NC. It was an amazing evening. Noel and Nora make a great team and everything served was impeccable from the first course to Nora's famous mexican coffee to end off with. I'm unfortunately allergic to shellfish and having checked with Noel before booking he was able to allow for this. I didn't miss out on any courses and his substitutes were delicious. Being able to watch him prepare the food and plate was such a fantastic experience as I'm a foodie and love watching the creations. Met some lovely couples in the intimate setting as well. Perfect anniversary evening - looking forward to our 18th there! Jaunita and Gavin Gobby

The food here was so good and amazing value for money. We ordered the nachos which was a huge portion, so do recommend sharing or ordering a smaller version. Nice atmosphere. Order at the bar, service was quick.

We are a fully licenced cafe in Mortehoe. We specialise in home made goods especially cake all made from scratch, sweet and some savoury options, great artisan coffee and speciality teas. We also do an amazing high tea which is only available by reservati
Found this great cafe by chance after visiting the Mortehoe post office .After getting wet walking on Woolacombe beach we were looking for refreshments. Although the cafe was busy what a warm welcome we got when we walked in. Being gluten free, it is often difficult for me to have a choice other then chocolate brownies, but Will offered me a gluten free scone. What a treat for me to have a proper cream tea. They couldnât do enough for us. Hope to be back before our holiday ends.

This beautiful family country pub set in an acre of land in the heart of North Devon countryside, offers a friendly meeting place to experience great food, fine wines, real ales and local ciders. Our two rosette kitchen wherever possible sources local pro
Booked a table here for Sunday lunch with family and our five dogs.Accessed by a narrow road but plenty of parking and road not that busy. Worth the journey.Met and shown to our table. Staff nice and friendly, place lovely and clean.Food, I ordered the pork bits in chilli and ginger as my starter. The best starter I have had in many a year. Tempura prawns was the other starter ordered and was just as good, not that either of us shared much with the others. The main meals where good too, clean plates for everyone. My wife chose the sticky toffee pudding. I was allowed a spoonful and that too was really nice.Lovely restaurant, beautiful food and with good service. Will certainly return, even if it is just for the pork bits.Thank you all.Thank you so much for your wonderful 5* review, we are so delighted you enjoyed your Sunday lunch with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon for the pork bites & perhaps your own portion of sticky toffee pudding!! Best wishes Susan
