Had a family meal and sat in a large round sofa and a couple of chairs. Drinks were good with a full selection and a good pint if John Smiths! As for the food it was very good with two having steaks which looked very appetising along with onion rings etc. I had the steak & ale pie which was good and had a lot of steak and ale gravy. Others had salmon, scampi and stir fry and all plates were clean! I have had better chips but they were acceptable. As for puddings the sticky toffee pudding was delicious and the ice creams went down well. All in all a very good meal with good service by young waitresses.

Lunchtime visit was very much-enjoyed. All the food on offer seemed of good quality, expertly prepared and in hearty portions. My wife began with the soup of the day, which she raves about. Staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful, and observed one responding cheerfully and patiently to a couple of quite demanding customers on adjacent table. Recently fully-refurbished premises equally pleasant and well fitted-out. Only slight problem was that the minimalist wall finishes and knocked-through high ceiling reflect rather than absorb ambient sound, such that itâs pretty noisy with a lot of customers in full chat. All in all, a marvellous new place to eat in centre of Whitehaven which richly deserves greatly to succeed.Very highly recommended!

They always do a good selection of excellent cocktails they are a bit on the pricey side it would be nice that they replace the menus more frequently as they were looking very shabby.

On our way from Whitehaven town centre to the premier inn where we were staying we came across the sunny hill pub, we called in to see what it was like, it was a very cosy clean, the staff are very cheerful friendly and helpful we both had roast beef dinner each, the food was hot and very tasty and at a good price, I would recommend this pub to anyone who happens to be in the area and fancies a meal, the beer is also reasonably priced. Thankyou for taking time to review your visit , i'm glad you all enjoyed it .

Out for a walk with the dog and we thought we would have tea out. Went to Zest And booked a table for 5 O'clock. I already knew what i wanted, fish chips and mushy peas. When we got there we were shown to our table and we ordered our drinks and our food. Our food arrived not too long later with some water and little gravy bones for the dog. How nice. Food nice and warm, delivered with a smile and we tucked in. Had fish chips and mushy peas here a few times now and still thoroughly enjoyed them, batter nice and light and tasty, fish nice and moist good flavour lovely chunky chips. Recommend you give them a try next time your passing.

Linked to the Georgian house hotel which has an accommodation listing
The Georgian House is always a pleasant sight, bedecked with flowers and immaculately clean. It was some time since I had eaten there and this meal with several friends showed that the previous good standards have now become excellent. The qualities of service and politeness are quite exceptional in an area were such things aren't common. My starter, baked avocado with crab and salmon, was very good, the main course, a "surf&turf" sirloin with tempura prawns was absolutely perfect. Prices are reasonable, particularly for the quality provided. We will definitely be visiting again.

Just off the harbour Near Duncan Square
Every dish we ate was excellent. Menu is far more than typical pub food. A bouillabaisse that could grace a high-end restaurant, at a price that suggests the ingredients came ashore on the boats you can see through the window. Fine selection of craft beers. Hope the owners donât read this but their prices donât begin to reflect the quality of the cuisine. Worth coming to Whitehaven just for this.
