Recommended by friends when they heard that we would be staying in Wareham and that we were visiting another restaurant in Christchurch. The gardens are stunning and a lovely place to relax with coffee / tea and look over to the river. We went for lunch on the last day of our stay and were not disappointed. A couple of bloody mary's to kick off while relaxing in the lounge and one of the best we've had in a long time lovely and spicy just as we like them. After about 15 minutes our drinks were collected and we were shown to our table which had the view to the gardens and just able to the river. Squid to start for me and Prawn & Crab cocktail for prtnr followed by Lobster for me and mussels for him . Delicious delicious . The service I couldn't fault it was professional and perfect . Thank you Priory it was a lovely end to our stay in Wareham

We were kindly taken by our friends Mike and Val to the Granary at Wareham Quay, overlooking the river. It is an interesting old building which has an excellent restaurant, mostly seated in a variety of individual and different rooms. The service and food was excellent all round, although a couple of dishes were 'off the menu on Sunday'. I had a steak frites which was a sizeable steak and beautifully cooked. tender and extremely tasty, this was the best I had had in many a year and at £14 was a bargain. Mike had the roast dinner which he said was also excellent, my wife the tanglefoot pie also gaining much praise and Val had a vegetarian nut roast as falafel was one of the off dishes, she wanted. We were all delighted with the service and food and look forward to return again soon.

Such an odd set up. Restaurant like being in someoneâs lounge. Conservatory looked like it was about to fall apart. Granted big portions but of poor quality. Should have bailed at the bar but pushed on. Normally Iâd say something rather than just post something but wasnât sure where to start....

Popped in by chance on Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy. Very Nice staff sorted us a table within 10 minutes and so friendly and helpful. We ordered the kings burger. It was a jammed packed burger with cheese and gherkins and thick back bacon and a super burger sauce on the side. Burger was very Nice homemade patty. Tasted great. Would recommend going. The other food that looked to be coming out looked great to. Portion sizes great. Definitely going back.

We stopped in Wareham on route to Corfe Castle to have a browse round Saturday market.Chanced on this tea room, what a find, young waitress could not have been more pleasantAnd the coffee and tea cake very very nice. In fact it was so nice that we went back forLunch and were not at all disappointed. Lovely jacket potato, salad and again the sameVery helpful waitress. We should not have to say it was the old fashioned sort of service That seems to be missing from so many places but that is what it was. An absolute pleasureAnd although we live in Torquay we come up quite often to see relatives so this will be the Place we head for when we need a nice meal or snack. Thankyou very much.

Recommendation from the guest house so decided to give it a try. Gorgeous food, friendly staff, good value. Portobello mushroom burger really nice, rib eye steak tender, cooked perfectly and good value, chips good, glad we went.

Have to go here everytime I visit Wareham. The quiche is to die for - cheesey, deep, salty and scrumptious. Had the watercress, cauliflower and leek quiche today but have tried a few others in the past and all hit the mark. The roast dinners are good value and very tasty also. I would recommend trying the coastal cheddar - they do it in a sandwich

Food good, landlord very friendly. Other staff not so much, seems more of a locals pub. Very quiet in restaurant, no background noise- but awkward when only a few diners there.
