This pub sits within a residential area, so, it was harder to find. But, it was a real gem of a pub. It is a big pub with plenty of parking spaces, on-site and on the road. The staff are friendly and provided table services. We were a party of 8, from ordering to food being delivered, it was quick and appetising service. Food was so mouth-watering tasty and delicious. We sat out in the garden, which I imagine would be a party place at night, with all lights. It would be a good place for BBQ food and TV. is setup in the garden, with gazebo, heater and blankets. The pub is kids and family friendly. Love it a lot.Thank you for the review, since your visit we have updated the garden and think you would approve! it includes covered area and even more fairy lights. We look forward to hosting your next company meal out.

We visited on Saturday morning and although early it was already busy. Having recently moved to Chertsey we were keen to try Joe’s Cafe and were delighted to receive such a friendly greeting. We both had the full English breakfast with filtered coffee. It was great and just what we needed! Look forward to going back.

Three of us for lunch. Really nice ambience. Even though it was a Wednesday lunch time it was full of other diners. Decor dark green walls and grass green carpet and a blush pink large alcove worked well. The alcove was framed with same colour voile curtains and could be used to screen off a party I suppose. Friendly and efficient service. Courses came at good intervals. From the warm rolls with sesame butter to the end of the meal everything was a treat. My cod cheeks starter was delicious with an amalgamation of tastes. Every course beautifully and imaginatively served. The chicken on black cabbage with a wonderful mousse, the poached crystallised pear with ginger ice cream (I asked them not to include the chocolate doughnuts) were perfect. The doughnuts were given to my fellow diners to add to the chocolate feuilles they'd chosen. We shared a small plate of cheese. We had 3 large glasses of a very nice Burgundy - no bottle as we were driving. A fraction under £150 for three which included service. Can't wait to visit again.

Refined, patrician and Brit to the bootstraps. Its worth the one hour drive from London to this splendid Georgian manor . Tea was served in the hushed, elegant drawing room with views of a wildflower meadow. Taking tea here is as comforting as old slippers. Featured on the menu was roast beef finger sandwiches with mustard mayo and prawns, Black Forest cake, a pecan brownie and my fav, the blood orange mousse with buttermilk. Its no wonder this estate has taken out the best awards.....and Royal watchers note: Prince Harry spent his last night as a Batchelor here.Thank you for sharing your complimentary review of the Drawing Room at Coworth Park, following your recent visit for Afternoon Tea. We booked afternoon tea for my Moms birthday and it was a very disappointing experience and most definitely the worst service at afternoon tea that I've ever had. My sister booked dairy free for hers but they claimed to know nothing about it when we got there. Rather than sorting it out efficiently, they made a big fuss about it and said they couldn't do any sandwiches so she needed to order off the main sandwich menu! This whole thing took a lot of time so we were left with our afternoon tea for a good 30 mins while they sorted hers out. It made the whole thing really awkward for my sister who didn't want to make a fuss. I spoke to the manager who just kept repeating that they hadnt received the request for dairy free and so it wasnt their fault. Eventually he agreed to give my sister her afternoon tea free but then charged her for a sandwich! Apart from that, we waited ages to be offered any drinks and the service was overall very poor. I definitely won't be returning despite the hotel and gardens being beautiful.Dear Lovetravelling2345Thank you for your review. I am very sorry about the experience you have had. We are taking any dietary requests and needs incredibly serious and are able to cater for them and do our utmost to accommodate last minute changes. Four of us were dining in the estate grill and were really looking forward to a culinary delight judging by the prices. The soup of the day tasted like it had just come out of a tin, I ordered a side of french fries and when they arrived they were done to a crisp and you couldn’t get a fork in without them snapping to pieces. I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want to embarrass my fellow diners, but then my two friends received their order of Salmon on a bed of Sagaloo and the salmon was overdone or had been sitting under a hot plate and you literally couldn’t get your fork onto the rock hard potato cubes that were part of the sagaloo on both dishes. We did tell the waitress about it and she came back and said that the Chef said that the dish was as it should be! We were offered a replacement but by then the other two diners were uncomfortably half way through there main meal so they decided not to re order and went without. We Were all feeling very deflated about the whole evening and passed on the desserts. When we asked for the bill, no attempt was made to reduce the price of what we had ordered apart from the two meals that we sent back and no attempt was made to reconcile the disastrous service that we had received. We will vote with our feet and not return. Very Disappointing.Dear steveboolThank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you and your fellow diners did not enjoy your meal. Perhaps you can get in touch with us directly, so we may look into your reservation. The soup is made fresh, in fact we are using a lot of our garden produce in our soups. Another walk in Windsor Great Park, another lovely gastropub lunch. The Bailiwick looks and feels more like a restaurant than a pub. It is very cosy, spread over two levels, and the staff couldn't be more friendly and obliging. The daily menu is slightly different each day. We both opted for the scallop starter: three scallops slightly seared served with chorizo croquettes and a watercress puree. Our mains were from the lighter menu. Linguine with plump king prawns, chili, rocket and capers. Both dishes were delicious. We were too full for a proper dessert, and the one I would have wanted was sold out anyway. But they offer a mini dessert with your choice of tea and coffee - double espresso and a small pot of crème brulée - what better finish to a meal! We both had a glass of champagne as an aperitif, and then a glass of wine with the meal. The wine list is good, wines by the glass more limited but with something for everyone. The bill for this indulgent lunch was GBP83 before tip, good value for a good quality meal in lovely surroundings.

Having stayed at the property before many years ago we booked a special package for D,B&B for my husbands Birthday & Our Anniversary. The Tudor room wasn’t available previously and as we’re keen foodies we really wanted to give this place a try. The whole experience was wonderful, we started in the bar with G&T’s and were escorted through to the beautiful room, where thankfully the decoration has not been modernised like other parts of the hotel. The menu is a seven course taster menu where you get an option on a number of courses and we were very happy with the choices (sometimes with taster menus this is not the case). What is good is that the restaurant offers ½ bottles of wine which as I only drink White and my Husband loves Red meant we could each indulge without worrying about having to finish the whole bottle. Not once did we have to fill up our own glasses and our water glasses were topped up continually throughout the evening. Each dish was explained as it was presented to us, the service and food was exceptional. The highlight of our stay.Dear Boho1979Thank you for your review and congratulations on your birthday and anniversary! I am delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your meal and the experience overall. I loo forward welcoming you back soon again. With kind regardsSandra MuellerGeneral Manager
