Went as part of a group. Staff very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and helpful. We were 13 and all had different combinations of Tapas, Pizza, Veggie, Meat, Desserts etc., and all enjoyed everything they ate.So good some of us went back the next day for lunch!Venue is wheelchair accessible and staff keen to ensure you sit where you want by rearranging tables. The only issue which stops an excellent review is that the toilets are in the pub next door. Diners, dining alone or needing assistance will have a dilemma if nature calls.

As Of The 9TH March 2015 This Business Ceased Trading As Little Miss Muffets Cafe - It Is Now Under New Ownership And A New Name
My partner and I are regular visitors to Tywyn. We have been to this place on many occasions and on our last visit (and it will be our last) we noticed this place has changed hands. At first we were pleasantly surprised with the light & airy décor and things were going well up to the point of ordering food and drink. On the menu it clearly says cappuccino made with fresh 'Arabica Beans'. I own a business that wholesales coffee, so know a little bit about the stuff!......... the drink was prepared behind the counter from a large tin of instant coffee (the cheapest one, I hasten to add) To add insult the food arrived, I ordered scrambled eggs on toast. The bread was obviously the cheapest that this place could buy and that goes for ALL the ingredients used.Clearly this place has been given a lick of paint to try and mask the very poor quality food.I think we paid around £14 for breakfast. Total rip-off.

Certainly improved with a refurb and new management. Indoor and outdoor seating, outside has a tropical theme combined with outside bar and SkySport. Set up largely as a gastropub with gastropub menu including a number of daily specials. Prices very modest, beers and wines reasonable. Food quality good. Was busy in August with some delays. Booking advised. Seems reasonable option for families staying in the area. Dog friendly. I guess lost some of the Welsh feel but hey ho this type of pub appears very popular especially if you want to watch SkySport.

Maggies Sunday lunch is super. Itâs delicious, well presented and always comes with a good selection of seasonal vegetables. Her cakes and desserts are superb and all home made. My particular recommendation is her Lemon Meringue. Truly delicious

Although thisnpub always seems to be busy, it lacks in space, quality, service and cleanliness.Overpriced food and drinks, unclean tables, floors and toilets, and service is not the best even with basic things! When this was built they should of made it twice the size, and I'm afraid they are losing business right left and centre, because people just walk in and walk straight out again. If you want a drink and have no care for comfort or anything else, then this is your place. If you want good food, nice furnishings and value for money, this is not your place.Dont recommend and wont be visiting again I'm afraid.

Following the success of Salt Marsh Kitchen, we have now opened a cool Cafe/Bar right opposite in the historic Old Market Hall in Tywyn. A great place to enjoy a local craft beer, fine wine or cocktail. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere with some lovely
Heard all about this place so I decided to pay a visit with friends .Thete was 10 of us so we booked a table for 7pm .They have a good amount of drinks to choose from "Beers/ Wines / Gins / spirits ect" they also have deals on 2/1 on cocktails depending on what time you arrive. The place itself is reasonably big but not too big so you dont feel to enclosed it's really nicely decorated also. There is a basic but good menu to choose from with plenty of burgers and pizzas to look at .Food was great and the service was fantastic the staff always happy to help .The food is reasonable when it comes to Price so i would say it's well worth a visit if your passing .Theh have a small area outside at the back but it is small but dont let this put you off...Keep up the good work

I tend to go to Walkers once a year whilst visiting my families caravan in Tywyn. I generally have the seafood platter which consists of different pieces of fish and prawns. Itâs a MASSIVE feed! The fish is all beautifully cooked and was delish. Very good value for money as well. My mum had the mushroom and beef stroganoff which was also very tasty, and not a stingy portion. The staff here are always very friendly and chatty. The only criticism I would have is that the frozen chips arenât nice - A little bit like cardboard, and the sauces are all low quality sachets which is a massive shame, because instead of complimenting the beautiful fish, it added a nasty cheap taste. The minor criticisms aside, a nice and good value restaurant. Hello thanks so much for your review. Next time you come I will take you in the kitchen and show you they are not frozen chips. They are cut by a machine that makes them look like that. As for the sauces I was thinking about that the other day. That I can change . we are always happy to improve. Iâm glad you injoyed your food and will take your comments on board. THANKS Lisa Walker x

We came to Proper Gander on recommendation, for Sunday Lunch. How refreshing to be served freshly prepared hearty food that has not come pre prepared from a catering wholesaler. Great ingredients of very high quality obviously cooked with pride and passion by the Chef's team. The accompanying service and warm restaurant ambience matched the superb taste of the dishes, both menus reflecting eye watering unpretentious choices. The modest prices are the icing on the cake for dining here. How lucky we are.
