Came as our first day canal boating. Set table up for us in advance as we booked. Good beers inc bath ales and their lager too. Good selection of good and great portion sizes. Lovely pie, fish n chips, gammon among others. Very worth it both as a pub but particularly if starting off from Hilperton Marina.

During a short stay at Bradford-on-Avon, my wife and I had tea, coffee and cake at 'The Canal Trust Cafe'. We went back again the following day for a second helping of pineapple and coconut cake. This small cafe is situated at Bradford Wharf, adjacent to the lock and tow path. It is well worth visiting to sample the food and meet the very friendly and efficient staff. This is a dog friendly venue with great walks nearby.

My wife and I went for lunch today - admittedly a little apprehensively because of previous businesses at this address. We were both very pleasently surprised at the high quality and freshness of the lovely food, which did not take too long to arrive. Very efficient and courteous staff as well. Prices quite reasonable. How lucky Trowbridge is to have Little Earth. We are planning to have an evening meal there very soon! Thanks Nigel for your kind words. We try and create a friendly and welcoming environment and all of our food is cooked fresh to order. Hope to see you again soon.

We booked the 5 course tasting menu (with wine flight) to celebrate my wife's (and her twin sister's) birthday. Where do I start? The initial communication was fantastic, we indicated our 'dietary' requirements, received superb responses and on the day, an absolutely perfect welcome! The waiter was charming and knew exactly what was required! Sipping an English dry wine on the sofas, we were then shown to our table. Smart casual is how I would define it! To start we were offered delicious home made bread, and which the waiter pointed out was accompanied with truffle butter, asking which of the table had a 'difficulty' with mushroom. He had brought an alternative butter! From that point, it just got better and better! The pea veloute, the pigeon breast, the cured mackerel, the Lackham pork 3 ways and the chocolate and honey cremeux. All served with smiles, charm and a relaxed approach that made us feel very welcome. The wine flight was spot on also. We have eaten at a Michelin star restaurant previously and we did say, this 2 rosette was edging towards that refinement and quality. Would I recommend this restaurant to friends - without a doubt, a real gem that shines out amongst other venues in Wiltshire!!

I was recommended to Kings Arms by the B+B I was staying at. I had the fish and chips which were fine. Service was good. The one aspect which left me with negative feelings was the repeated and loud use or the F word by a small group of men and a larger, separate group of women nearby. No doubt someone will say I could get up and leave. At the earliest opportunity, I did.

Based at the Avonfield Gardens site in Hilperton, Avonfield Kitchen is a highly reputable and busy cafe serving restaurant-quality contemporary British cafe food with a twist. Especially renowned for our cakes and bakes which are made fresh every morning
We sat under a canopy in the warm Sunday mid-morning sunshine waiting for our ordered coffee accompanied by a slice of chocolate brownie, whilst catching up with family matters ......our HOT coffeeâs were served with the brownie which was truly scrumptious. The atmosphere was great, with others enjoying the company of friends and family alike. There were large tables for 8 as well as tables for 2. Breakfast as well as lunches were being served. It was wonderful to drink a hot cappuccino rather than a warm one you often get served in other coffee places.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Steeple Ashton, The Longs Arms, is the perfect place for the discerning ale drinker or for the whole family to enjoy a meal together. There's something on the menu to suit everyone; the atmosphere is wel
Don't get this muddled with the other Longs Arms, a Hungry Horse restaurant and a completely different thing (I will say no more). Delicious food, lovely, lively local pub too and full of local people. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food tasty - veggie food on offer too. I would definitely recommend this pub - just don't expect a formal and dull meal, but we didn't mind the chatter and the fun that people were having around us.

We visited the Tollgate Inn with other family members including two children for Sunday lunch. The food was all very good, excellent roast beef, plentiful portions with all the trimmings you would expect. The desserts were also delicious. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has fairly rustic decor which we liked but we found the chairs rather too firm and hard. The large car park ensures there is no trouble finding a space. Thank you.

We serve classic pub food lunchtimes Mon - Sun 12-3 and evening meals Mon - Sat 6pm -9pm.
A traditional pub just off the village green(ideal for visiting the Courts NT in Holt). We had a very good two course lunch - from a menu with plenty of choice (inc vegan). We like the fact that there is a choice between large and small helpings as one of us (not me!) does not eat so much.
