Kath Sylvester and Wayne Sampson originally opened their Caribbean restaurant in the picturesque town of Harlech back in 2010 they brought a ray of Caribbean sunshine and spice to the small costal town, setting themselves up in a prime location next to Ed
Booked in advance as itâs fairly popularSkipped the starter and all ordered a mainFood was great, apart from a bit of a mix up with a vegan option, but the staff were very quick to try to rectify the issue.Loved the fact they had Rekorderlig cider on tap!Atmosphere is nice with background music playing Never seen so many different hand soaps in the toilet

Dined here last Wednesday evening. We loved the lounge sitting area where we were able to sit before a blazing log burner and enjoy a drink whilst perusing an extensive menu. Choices made, our very polite and helpful waiter made note of them and shortly afterwards showed us to our seats. The food was beautifully presented, hot and absolutely delicious. A lovely restaurant, clean, great ambiance, super efficient and friendly staff. Would most certainly recommend.

A pretty little cafe in a lovely little courtyard which will please lovers of great coffee. The scones live up to their reputation and the cherry cola cake is inspired. Great service and generous portions make it well worth the inconvenience of a few wasps who also seem to have read the justifiably excellent reviews received by this thoroughly excellent little cafe. Cannot recommend more highly.

Overlooking the beautiful and tranquil bay of Borth-y-Gest, the Mooring's Bistro team welcomes you in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Offering an inventive menu, prepared with the freshest local ingredients available, the restaurant is open for breakfa
I very rarely give 5 stars to a restaurant, always finding something which could be improved but not at The Moorings. This restaurant fully deserves 5 stars. We have visited this gem three or four times this summer and each time we have enjoyed excellent food, excellent friendly and efficient service and to top it off the restaurant is in an excellent location. I can thoroughly recommend it.

Super restaurant serving excellent food. Located in the old bakery (Hen Fecws). Loved the short menu meaning everything is fresh. Staff are really friendly and fun. Try the Hake with capers on specials board or sea bass and the pear and cherry crumble was exceptional.Dear David B,It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your time with us at Yr Hen Fecws and that you thoroughly enjoyed your meals, from mains to dessert! Thank you very much for leaving us your review and for all of you lovely comments. We hope that you will join us again soon. Kindest regards,Rebecca PritchardOperations Manager

Booked online one night before, reply received next morning accepting booking for 3 people.Place easy to find on the High St.Eating room is like a large lounge, with maybe, too dim lighting.Good service, all evening.Draught beer & Peroni no lager advertised but available. Had Snowdonia lager, and Spitfire beer.Fish & chips was baked fish not battered, chips were ok, mushy peas warm. Tasty but not a substantial meal.Vegetarian pizza, size is 9", thin crust, good but not mind blowing.Welsh burger, served between what appeared thick slices of bread(not sure of technical name), ok, maybe a little dry, with small salad on plate. One dessert, Eton mess, acceptable, but nothing outstanding and maybe spoilt by too much fruit syrup poured over it.If in the area, may visit again.

Fine dining restaurant in the curvilinear dining room of The Hotel Portmeirion overlooking the tidal estuary. Lounge menu served on the terrace (unless a wedding or function has reserved exclusive use of the facilities). Afternoon tea available from 2pm t
We decided to go for the 10 course tasting menu and were disappointed with some of it. The deconstructed quiche scallops and beef were excellent. The other courses not so good. We have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and had tasting menus and their size normally take into account the number of courses. Not so here it was as if they had forgotten we had chosen the 10 course menu and not the table dâhote menu or even the 7course tasting menu. They even gave us one sweet course that was incorrect. We didnât bother with the last two courses as we were so disappointed. Seemed to me that the staff were disorganised untrained and didnât know which tables they were looking after! There was one young lady who to be fair was excellent.

A family meal, a delicious set menu, a tranquil, spacious, delightful setting with estuary views from one window and views of the garden from another, castell Deudraeth is on a roll. Well done! Add delightful company, a free visit to Portmeirion and the treat is complete

Set in Snowdonia National Park, a family run business which offers heartily home cooked food. We pride ourselves on quality locally sourced produce and a homely atmosphere with views from the restaurant overlooking Snowdon.
Two minutes walk from where we stayed at The Estuary Lodge. Made to feel very welcome on arrival on a Friday evening and we hadn't booked. Excellent atmosphere, food, drinks and service. Food is of an excellent standard and large portions which we all enjoyed. Thank You H & K.

On a golfing trip x4 with an overnight stay in Porthmadog, we werenât sure about where or what to eat. A trip down the high street and the only place that stood out as appealing by miles was a converted Bank, which had only recently 4 months ago turned into a Tapas. Believe me, this will be an attraction for miles when word gets round. Iâve had many Tapas meals in convivial Spanish and Portuguese restaurants abroad .....nothing compares to the quality and variation of plates delivered to us. We spoke with the manager and asked him to keep the dishes coming of his choice....Wow how impressed were we.If ever in Porthmadog you need to experience Y Banc Tapas.....will be No 1 on T/A within no time at all.Exceptional!!!
