Went with friends on Saturday night to find that there was a party being held in the Restaurant and thought this could be very noisy. This was not the case as they were the best behaved party goers i have met.Food was well presented and all courses that the 4 of us had were delicious especially the sea bass and the ginger sauce with the chicken dish was fantastic( I nearly had the cheek to ask for more)All in all a great night was had and the service was very friendly and professional.Be back soon!!!Thank you very much for your lovely comment hopefully see you soon.Catherine

I had a few minutes (well half an hour) to kill so I went into the tried and tested , I once again was not disappointed, staff as always friendly and obliging and all I fancied was a snack so a couple of bacon and egg rolls with a latte was the order of the day.Pleasant atmosphere and always clean , fresh and tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed my little repast and it certainly filled a hole though I was tempted to have a little more but time was against me.
A family run business serving hot and cold food. Lavazza coffee also sold as well as a large selection of soft drinks. Full menu can be viewed via website which includes the option to pay online, pay on delivery, collection.
I can only comment on the breakfast menu....which is excellent. Ordered online and arrived at my door within 45 minutes! No more words needed! A must try for anyone needing help with their hangover!

Visited for my husbands birthday and in the hope of a regular eating place in Strathaven since rissons has closed. First impression was what a lovely looking restaurant unfortunately itâs all about the food"........food was tasteless husband ordered starter of black pudding and duck egg basically a slice of black pudding with a duck egg chucked on top I had ham terrean pretty tasteless block of ham with some bits of packet biscuits and a couple of bits of pineapple ......mains husband had trio of pork pork belly it was a bit of uncooked fat they and they forgot he had ordered mashed potato with it. Mine unseasoned sea bass in a puddle of water and hard green tomatoes and unopened mussels again tasteless didnât bother with desert best thing was the wine and g & t so disappointed..going on looks of Place had intended going for my birthday next month wonât bother now.....
Popular Pub & Restaurant in the heart of Strathaven. Serving food daily from 12pm (12:30pm Sunday's).
6 of us came here (5 adults and a baby) for lunch recently. We were only really looking for some 'pub grub' but the menu in the restaurant was a bit more formal. The waiter told us that because we had a baby and he wasn't allowed in the bar, he could give us the bar menu to order in the restaurant. This was really good for us and we ordered from this menu.I had the Strathaven burger which was really nice and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I felt the waiter was helpful and friendly and we made use of the high chairs for our little munchkin. Hi scottc1985,Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Iâm glad you enjoyed your Sunday lunch at The Strathaven! It would be great for some more feedback as to what could be done to make your next visit a 5 star experience. We hope to see you back again soon!Regards

Gift and Coffee Shop with waterside setting, serving light lunches. Home made soups, panini's, wraps, cakes and scones. We also serve delicious ice cream sundaes, Knickerbocker glories, and warm Belgian waffles with fruit and ice cream. In our gift shop,
Very nice tea room and gift shop visited here after a wander around the Strathaven Park for a coffee and fruit scone. They also do light lunches, soup and a selection of tray bakes definitely worth a visit. Thanks for your review. Hope to welcome you back again soon.

Absolutely not your normal café/bistro, Cramped seating, all a bit untidy but serving only home made food, all produced on the premises by the owner chef. Steak pies to die for, sausage rolls larger than life - I could go on but best to go see for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Lovely, friendly staff too.

Went for breakfast. There were 2 other people in and what sounded like 2 or 3 staff through the back. Waited for 15 minutes, didnât even get so much as a âGood Morningâ.We wont disturb them a second time.Hi, I am saddened to read your review on our coffee shop... all the staff a well mannered and attentive, having seen you they would for sure have said good morning! I am lead to believe after speaking to the staff that you may have been in the shop while we were preparing the cream cakes and such down in the kitchen.... which was before 9.30am when we open.... we had left the doors open because of the nice weather and unfortunately didnât see you coming in.... if you had gave us a wee shout we would have been more than happy to serve you early! I believe there were another 2 ladies who work local and were sitting in the shop waiting on friends arriving, who pointed out later that you had left. I apologise for this inconvenience and thank you for bringing it to my attention... we will be sure to be more vigilant in the future... Best Regards Marianne

Looking for somewhere to eat while staying in the area, reviews were good so rang to book. Friday night so very busy and a bit noisy. Staff were very friendly. Some nice choices on the menu. Everything tasty and cooked to perfection. The portions are large. Very reasonably priced. Only a small car park. The decor inside is lovely, I might have been put off by the outside if I had just turned up, needs a coat of paint. Otherwise fantastic

Nice venue which we visit fairly regularly. The food however is really inconsistent, some meals are a fairly safe bet e.g. steak sandwich, fish and chips. On Saturday 3 meals out of 6 were really poor trio of pork inedible, chicken supreme nice but the size you would expect for a starter.Perhaps need to stick to the basics, and also ensure you give value for money as prices are fairly high for what is on offer.Really need to up their game, as there is too much competition in the area. I cannot see me going back any time soon for food, but will drop in for drinks
