Whilst visiting on a weekend trip thought we would head down to the quay front for a bit of breakie. This place truly is a great place that serves excellent breakfast with a fantastic view. Other than the egg the breakfast was grilled also making it a more healthy option. Service was pleasant and staff attentive. Would highly recommend

Hi Called in at lunchtime . The cafe looked a bit modern and bare but the food was brilliant and I would definitely go again . The service was very good . Staff worked as a team and were efficient and helpful . Good choice of foods and some excellent salads. A fair price too .

Poole's only fisherman owned restaurant.. Committed to using the finest fresh, local and sustainable produce, Fisherman Pete opened STORM in 1998. Serving the finest fish and shellfish (and our award winning Poole Oysters) from the south coast - cooked wi
Only me and my 2 friends and one other couple on a Thursday evening at 7.30. Waitress was lovely, professional and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not as described in the menu. Lobster covered in a garlic sauce. Couldnât taste the lobster. We were told the menu would reflect this in the future and despite being given a free desert( which we would not have ordered as weâd had starters) we will not visit again. This is your second review and this response is for the benefit of other diners. Following your initial review I held a staff meeting to discuss your comments. You visited us having been gifted a voucher by one of our staff/friends. You praised your starters and cleaned the plates, you all devoured every bit of your main course and said you enjoyed the service. You commented that you did not like that your lobster had garlic butter (you are correct in saying that it was not in the description of Whole Dorset blue lobster, fries and salad ) therefore we offered a replacement, you declined and ate the lot. You were then given a free dessert which you also devoured. No comments were made regarding any hint of dissatisfaction other than your comment regarding not expecting garlic butter and as I said, you declined a replacement and ate every last scrap. We work really hard because we're so passionate about what we do. On the occasion that we get it wrong (it does happen from time to time) we hold our hands up and do everything we can to put it right. Every member of the team puts their heart and soul into creating the best possible experience. If you wish to discuss further you can reach me on 01202674970. Though one thing we can agree on is that you should not visit us again. Katie

We had a revisit whilst on holiday in Poole, we ordered a fish pie and a bubble and Beef, both meals soon arrived and looked really nice. My only small complaint was the beef with Bubble, it was a bit chewy, it only needed cooking a little longer originally other than that it was perfect. My wife then had a sweet (which was excellent). A lot better than the last time we visited.

Didn't enjoy them at all . please Lady keep smiling you took our money once .You won't have the chance again , How disappointing .Now we know where we go there is a Queue .

Mrs MadDog took me to Poole to carry on with my convalescence after life changing surgery(new knee). On day two we spot the Poole arms after our harbour boat trip. The board outside makes us think that we fancy a bit of seafood for dinner tonight. We took note of the reviews and booked a table for that night, and it was a bit busy so that was a good move. I did see a reply from the pub that said they would put an item by for you if you ask. Good idea!Did see some reviews wingeing about no Crab available. As a chef in a previous life MadDog understands the supply chain locally can let you down. So come back tomorrow!. One of the said wingers also said the breakfast at the same hotel we stayed at was "great" which made me realise he was not very bright. One star only, get a life mate............Back to The Poole Arms. Mrs M. has the Chowder and I have the Oysters. Both are really good (the oysters were a bit pricey though) and then we have.............two Crab salads !!. These are the biggest tastiest Crabs ever served on a large mixed salad. Very very good. Bit of a winge myself here and its me being a bit Chefffy. Sliced bread served with this I think, was a bit downmarket. A wholemeal version of the crusty bread served with the Seafood chowder would have been a nicer touch. Or maybe a choice of each would be good. Also note that this is a child free Pub (they all used to be at one time) which is a good thing for people who want to enjoy their food in peace and quiet. Very good move by The Poole Arms.So we have all this excellent food, a decent pint and an extra large glass of something from New Zealand for Mrs M. (what else)? Two lovely friendly ladies serving/pulling pints and all is good with world. Great!!Tony and Wendy12 you don't know what you missed.MadDog says "The Walrus and the Carpenter"..

My partner and I booked the last table last night for our dinner so a heads up to make reservation in advance to dine here!We were served by Susan who was very attentive to our needs and we had amazing starters of scallops and of smoked salmon which was absolutely gorgeous as you the woody smokey scent just fill your senses and nostril as you have a piece of the salmon in your mouth! Sensational! The scallops were done well and tender with delicious sauce. Our mains were their famous braised pork crackle and lamb. Both were absolutely amazing! Highly recommended to try them. Our dessert was no less impressive with the passion fruit and the dark chocolate. On paying our bill we were given their home made dark chocolate which was delicious too!Truly a great culinary experience last night and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you for your kind review. The Bingley's Team are really pleased that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. It was our pleasure to meet and serve you both.

Phoned up to book for afternoon tea. Staff very accomodating in our requests to change sandwiches from their standard set due to personal tastes. On the day quick service and staff knowledgeable about the wide selection of teas available. Lovely selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. All homemade. Really nice space and atmosphere, would be good for small functions and occasions. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an afternoon tea of exceptional quality. First visit - strange mix of bar - restaurant - live entertainment ! Booked for meet up with friends but def not the place for a quiet chat ! Made worse by the noisiest table next to us in Bournemouth ! The food was good however - Would say its more of a bar with food than somewhere to go and eat - which is a shame as the food and restaurant area is nice ! Plus ordering at bar and then having to queue at the bar your meal to pay on a busy Friday night isnât the best way to get return business !! Good vibe but confused identity - seemed / felt disorganised Hi DinerSouthsea -you've hit the nail right on the head, I think - we're a bar that serves really good food, and have live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, which has been really popular with our regular clientele for the last 3 years. There's a huge welcome sign as you come in that recommends you order at the bar, although we're always happy to take your order at the table if you prefer - just ask us when you arrive, although we'll reinforce staff training to make sure we're all more aware of attention to detail as a consequence of your review so thankyou :)
