Formally Monroes, now rebranded as Black Flame Bar & Grill. Still retaining our traditional carvery fare, but now with exciting new flame grill options to our menu. Pedreguer is a small village close to Gata de Gorgos and between Denia and Javea, just off
Having read previous reviews we decided to try for dinner. On arrival there was a Bingo Game going on. We should have really left at that moment we really knew this was not the place for us.However we stayed and ordered 2 Chicken Burgers not what we would usually eat for dinner but there really was nothing else looked appetizing. They were served on slate plates with grease dripping on the floor. Time to leave. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you usually eat in a âgreasy spoonâ never again.I am sorry that you had a bad experience. We host irregular events for the local community, on demand, usually avoiding peak weekends. This was a Thursday night, a whole week before your review, why so long? You should have reacted on your instincts, again, we support our local community. We offer an extensive menu, far from the greasy spoon cafe menu that you allege. Not sure how much fat you expect from chicken burger? We have no record of your complaint, next time, if there is one, phone ahead, just in case, so we can prepare for your visit.

El Cid is a hidden gem in Benidoleig (a real Spanish village), in the Orba Valley. Located in the Marina Alta area of the beautiful Costa Blanca area of Spain. As well as being a "community centre" for ex-pats (mostly British), including many activities t
Weâve just moved to the area and came here with some friends who recommended El Cid for a carvery (the only thing I miss from England!). Fortunately theyâd booked a table because the restaurant was full. The food was presented in a buffet with the chef slicing and serving the meat who genuinely seemed to care about making sure we were happy with it. We went up for seconds too because it was so good. We had the toffee sundae for dessert which was delicious with a salted caramel sauce to die for.We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the lunch from the wonderful food, amazing views and excellent service. We were never made to feel rushed even when weâd finished eating and drinking and the staff were friendly and professional. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

The Black Apple Bistro offers a vibrant and friendly atmosphere, with a new and unique concept of food.
We have just returned from having a superb lunch at the Black Apple. Food was excellent, small menu and huge portions. All freshly made and served by a friendly staff. Wish we could still be here for âFizzy Fridayâ! Definitely we will be returning .
