Thank god! We have people behind the bar and serve food who care about the pub and the people in it.Service fantastic.Food great.Pub much more welcoming ,not just looking after the regulars (getting served first even if you have been waiting for a long time.) but treating everyone the same .Keep up the good work.

I visited here on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy! It's upstairs so not completely obvious however it's decorated really nicely with smooth jazz playing. The service was quick and friendly, service with a smile. It's run by local people. It's not too pricey but you definately get what you pay for. I had a panini with chicken cheese and tomato and it was to die for. Great place will definately come here again and recommend to a friend.

Visited here for a friends birthday, 11 of us in total & we had pre-ordered our food choices 2 weeks before. Starters came out quickly, which were OK but not what I was expecting for the price. We had to pretty much visit the kitchen to get a drinks order, despite there being numerous staff members & hardly anyone in the restaurant. The waitress had no clue what she was doing, we asked for gin & tonics and her response was âdo you want lemonade in that too?â She has to double check our drinks order 3 times. Mains came out, but 2 were missing and we had to chase them up. Theyâd forgotten about them, and they didnât turn up until most people had finished eating. Steak was ok, looked anaemic as no colour to it. The sea bass was a let down. Dessert was ok, but again nothing to write home about. Very simple. Restaurant is overpriced, cost £35 a person for our meal for mediocre food and terrible service. Will not be visiting again!Thank you for your comments i am so sorry your food was not up to standard ill have a chat with the team to see what went wrong.Again please let me apologies for this meal.

A new cool, contemporary & rustic coffee house, specializing in fresh coffee, loose tea, breakfast, lunch, special platters & fresh home made cakes.Gluten free and vegetarian meals also available.
Came here for breakfast having read the reviews and was so disappointed. No Vegetarian sausages for a vegetarian breakfast and the food was inedible. Cold toast, microwaved lump of scrambled eggs and âpan friedâ mushrooms that were clearly boiled, with a pile of hardly wilted spinach next to it. The whole thing looked microwaved as well. Other options looked better and the cakes looked very good, but certainly wonât be coming here for a cooked breakfast again!

So delicious! Saturday brunch at 11ish, we had the full monty and wild mushrooms with egg on sourdough. Both were ever so tasty, perfectly cooked, great quality ingredients too. And the real baked beans were amazing, I could eat bowls of them. Only came to £19 with drinks. Super friendly staff, it wasnât very busy so if youâre thinking about going there - definitely do. One family came in, sat down, then left again. Not sure why but as they say in Pretty Woman...âbig mistake, big. Huge...â! Big thumbs up

I visit this establishment along with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon every couple of months. We generally order medium/large breakfasts & jacket potatoes followed by a slice of cake.We have always found the food excellent & the staff friendly & attentive. The only complaint we have relates to the toilet which has nothing to do with the cleanliness, however the door lock is very stiff & really does need fixing/replacing !!! It has been like it for some considerable time & doesnât require rocket science to sort !!!Thank you for your review Richard, I am pleased you enjoy your visits. Yes the toilet lock has been an ongoing issue for some time now but we are having a complete new lock fitted so when you visit next time all should be ok.

My brother lives nearby so, when visiting the area, he took me and my wife there for Sunday lunch. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had - the roast beef. Excellent food. Nice ambiance; polite and attentive staff; reasonably priced; and a lovely location. Would definitely recommend and would go back when next in the area.

Went for lunch yesterday. Have been before but this time remembered to write a review! Lovely country pub withloads of parking. Really nice, attractive exterior and inside equally as well thought out and decorated.Sadly didnât get the barman/servers name but a lovely guy, helpful, friendly and efficient.I had 6 hour roast pork belly on a tomato, red pepper, butter bean and chorizo âstewâ sorry chef, canât remember the name but it was delicious! The chorizo pieces were generous unlike many restaurants who chop it so small you wouldnât know it was there. Everything was cooked to perfection. My wife had melted Camembert with bread for dipping and sweet potato fries. She said it was all superb. We also had a side order of fries which were some of the best Iâve had.The food and the experience was absolutely spot on.Many thanks guys. Weâll be back!
