Best Sunday roast we've had on a long time - everything outstanding, we tried the beef and the pork and both were superb, especially the potatoes and gravy! Starters of salmon and hare/ham terrine, and the tastiest strawberry icecream for desserts made this three courser a perfect lunchtime treat. Service excellent and a quiet, chattering vibe means we will be back soon, fingers crossed!

Very pleasant restaurant in minimalist style over 3, open floors. Creative menu was a lunchtime taste experience from the table d'hôte menu. Loved the amuse bouche, flavoursome and a great intro to the starter and mains. Service excellent, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing pretentious about Peace and Loaf just consistent care to deliver taste.

I was treated to lunch to celebrate my birthday.The atmosphere was great,the eating area was quirky and pleasant.The staff were friendly and efficient.I ordered fish and chips and a chocolate sundae ,as it was a special occasion,and have absolutely no complaints about the meal..It was delivered promptly with minimum waiting time and was extremely tasty.I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.Hi StephenJCressey,Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such great feedback! After another amazing time at this fantastic restaurant we thought it would be a good idea to write a review. After leaving again tonight feeling very happy with the food and the amazing five star service. A very busy night, but our food was amazing again, the scallops for starters were out of this world and our main dishes were just as good. The desserts which our very friendly waitress, Danielle, helped us choose were amazing. We keep returning to this particular restaurant as the service is fantastic. They always accommodate us as best they can and try to get us in a booth, both Adam and Danielle have served us and found them to be so professional, polite and go out there way for us. We would like to thank both Adam & Danielle for making us feel very welcome. We will be returning.Prices are very good for what you get.Thanks guys!!

Every now and again you come across a place where they just got things right and Starks Kitchen is one of those places.The decor is simple, modern, clean and bright with white walls, tasteful prints and a mix of banquette seating and chairs.Two of us went for the veggie Sunday roast while the third went for beef. Dinner took a little way to arrive but was great when it did. I'm not a veggie, but the nut roast was delicious, my wife enjoyed the beef which was tender and cooked just pink.The plates arrived with a good Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, a quenelle of mashed potato, a quenelle of carrot & swede and of course gravy. A bowl of french beans, cabbage and some mange tout came out for the table plus side of cauliflower cheese.Everything was great, really great. The veg was perfectly cooked and tasty. If I was going to be really picky, the gravy was slightly over seasoned but hey, I don't use a lot of salt!I went for the cheese as a pudding, an excellent cheddar and a soft blue, while my daughter went for the pecan pie.The meal was finished off with a couple of good coffees.We booked for a late Sunday lunch via Open Table on the same day which worked well. All round, a really good experience and I thought, good value.

Beautiful Sunday lunch with generous meat portions as well as a side of veg, gravy and trimmings. We went for the Supplemented trio of meats and Sticky toffee pudding and both were excellent. One slight gripe is they couldâve put a couple more roast potatoes on the plate rather than having to order a few more as a side for £4. This seems to be the norm at most restaurants these days. Excellent customer service,we were welcomed with a bright breezy good morning on a sunny Monday morning by a lovely lady who took our order.The rooms were light ,bright and sunny with a really complimentary colour scheme that makes it feel spacious we ordered a large and small English breakfast which did not disappoint excellent quality Meaty sausage ,tasty bacon,black pudding ,grilled seasoned tomato ,beans and hand cut sourdough bread toasted with a perfectly fried egg. accompanied by a ginger fentimans soft drink and a pot of tea.other customers dishes looked equally as yummy poached eggs with avocado and Hollandaise . Homemade corned beef pie.We arrived at 11.00am and the customers carried on coming this establishment is really going places.There were also some delicious homemade cakes ,scones,flapjacks,sticky ginger cakes. I am dairy intolerant and i was well looked after by service staff and the chef/proprietor again lovely customer service.Very much worth a visit,.Full breakfast £7.50 small breakfast £5.50 ?
