Our family enjoyed an excellent meal here yesterday. Our food was delicious! It was fresh and very tasty, with the portions were a good size. It was difficult to pick just one thing from the main course menu as it all sounded appealing! Our meals were reasonably priced too. We would definitely come back!

Outstanding value for money.I cannot think of another restaurant that can come anywhere near the quality and choice at this price. In fact, ignore the price because you could pay twice as much and have much poorer fare! Please, do yourself a favour and treat your taste buds to this outstanding food.I canât rate it highly enough.

The Costley Group certainly know how to look after their guests, my wife and I called in on chance earlier this week. The food was first class along with the service that we received from the young waiting staff. We would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family, can't wait to go back.

This is a great place, slightly off the beaten track. It was my first visit and everything about it was great. The macaroni cheese, lasagne and scamp that we ordered were great. We also got some of their delicious cakes to takeaway. Well worth and visit and we'll definitely be back. Thank you for your kind review! It means a lot to us when someone takes the time to praise us, instead of using this particular forum to complain. It is most appreciated. Thank you!!

Second visit here. Because of the positive experience we had on our first visit, albeit only for a coffee, we decided to stop for a snack en-route to Port Patrick. We weren't too hungry so ordered "just" a sandwich and soup to share. Oh my goodness!! The smoked salmon and prawn sandwich was enormous, packed full of prawns and salmon and came with a side of lovely home made chips. The soup was also delicious and we were both stuffed. The quality of the food was matched by the friendly efficiency of the staff who all appeared to be enjoying their work. As previously stated, this was our second visit and the welcome was just as warm as on our previous visit. If passing through Kirkoswald don't pass this wee gem. We certainly won't.

The Carrick Bar & Grill is a family run bar and restaurant providing excellent freshly prepared food. The bar has a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The renovated building has a modern decor which would not look out of place in any city centre.
Visited for lunch and was really impressed, chef was happy to accommodate my food allergies and adapted the menu for me. Food was amazing, first time in ages I have ordered with full confidence in the kitchen preparing Gluten-free, well done Chef A+++++. As for out waitress Sandi, she could not have done any more for us, very friendly and attentive. Couldnât have asked for anything more. Well done to you all, keep up the good work.

Went on Wednesday evening (14th August) Quite surprised at how busy it was but we managed to get a table for two. Service was âpleasantâ from young lady but she wasnât very cheery. Food was very nice, we had Gambas pil pil and pate to start, followed by Salmon and Fish and chips. Nice to see them using Hake instead of the usual stuff that everyone else uses. Bill was £54 including a couple of drink each. Will definitely return as it is much better than a lot of places in Ayr.

Being a regular of the kirkmichael Arms, was in yesterday and today, and usually between two and three times a week, I've got to say the food is always consistent and at a very high standard, prices are reasonable and the staff are always great and very attentative, I don't usually write reviews even if people have a bad day which they do, but I felt the need to write one about this place after reading that shocking review yesterday from some old battle axe who obviously likes a moan, to that lady I highly recommend the steak and sausage pie, it's not an Indian dish and your stomach should be fine with that , I don't work for trip advisor, I'm only writing this review as I felt the last review left was very unfair, yes you wait a bit longer when the place is busy just like everywhere else,, as long as the food is good no need to moan, been here dozens of times now now had a single complaint, even when their really busy the owner does her best to accommodate us, folks if your looking for spectacular food made to the highest standards and a relaxed atmosphere with great staff who only have their customers to mind give this place a shot I guarantee yoy won't be disappointed, will be back, in a couple of weeks for more great grub
