Cuisine BRITISH Local Produce. Handmade Pizzas. Pasta Dishes. Homemade Soups. Great Breakfasts & Bagels. Waitress service.
Visited Ludlow on many occasions, but this was the first visit to Aragons. Waited nearly half an hour for our food, so an apology for the delay would have been in order - not forthcoming. Neither was the offer of tartare sauce for the cod or a simple enquiry as to how the food was (which was nothing special).Only small points but very easy to get right.

We offer a light local and homemade menu in an informal pub surrounding or courtyard garden. We aim to utilise the great local to Ludlow market and ethos to bring venison pies made in our kitchen to local desserts from the market. The menu changes frequen
After a good walk into Ludlow in the sunshine, we were looking for a pub and found The Blue Boar on TA, just past the castle.Good selection of ales and we sat outside, partially shaded early in the afternoon. One of our party ordered a ham sandwich and chips which they thoroughly enjoyed. The service was also very good.

We selected this restaurant for a very special family night out. The 9 course tasting menu was divine and the paired wine flight sublime. The courses were not only well created and presented but also delivered brilliantly with time between courses to savour the flavours and for conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant.Dear Nicky I Thank you very much for leaving a review. We are very happy to hear that you have enjoyed our 9 course tasting menu with paired wines. Your message will be passed to the kitchen and restaurant team. We look forward to seeing you at the Forelles restaurant again. Kind RegardsFishmore Hall Management Team

Bakers is lovely, friendly independently owned cafe bar located in the heart of Ludlow town centre. Providing full table service, our staff have been with us for many years and are all local people. We serve the very best Organic Lavazza coffee in our bra
Heard that Bakers had started a Friday evening fish menu so thought we would try it.Absolutely amazing, unfussy, beautifully cooked seafood. We had the mixed platter which included Hake, Sea Bass, Salmon, tempura monkfish and calamari, plus Tiger Prawns and a crab and crash fish salad, yes all of that for £25 a head! Did I mention the service was excellent as well, attentive but not over the top!Donât miss out this is a fantastic, value for money experience!

Booked here for a Sunday evening meal. Nice looking pub/restaurant which is on the main road and easy to find.We waited at the bar to register our arrival. The young girl serving did not acknowledge our presence the whole time we stood waiting for her to finish serving another customer. The lady who finally arrived and served us was much more pleasant. The restaurant part is nice and spacious, however you have to squeeze past people on stools at the bar to get there. Very random lighting - some tables nicely lit, but others with very harsh spot lights. Did like the fairy lights in bottles around the walls.Food was promptly served, of good portion size and tasty. Very nice cider - Appleshed. If it was warmer we would have sat out in what looked like a lovely beer garden for more drinks.

The Unicorn Inn is a family run pub That now does accommodation, which resides in a beautiful riverside location. The pub itself is a grade two listed building with many old features that add to its unique character. From the wooden beams to the uneven fl
Firstly, be aware that there's very limited parking in the vicinity of the restaurant, so if you're unfamiliar with the town, do some searching for the nearest public parking. It's a beautiful building with lots of small inter-connected rooms, some more appealing than others; ideally you want to be in the font room where the bar is.All the staff were friendly, but professional and attentive, although there was one server who was a little intense and might do better if they just relaxed a little. The Sunday lunch menu is fixed choice - but what lovely choices they are, especially the desserts.Beef, pork, lamb or fish (cod) with beautifully roasted potatoes and a bowl full of freshly steamed vegetables. We chose meats, so can't tell you what the cod comes with, but the gravy was wonderfully homemade and rich in flavour. The stuffing that accompanied the pork was equally tasty and rich, but the steamed veg were unseasoned and therefore rather bland in comparison.Rather disappointing, however, was the quantity and quality of the pork. No crackling, no tasty chunks of shoulder or belly. Instead, thin slices of nondescript meat from an indeterminable area of pig, smothered in gravy to possibly disguise the paucity of taste and texture. To end on a positive, the Yorkshires were excellent. We'd sidestepped the starters in order to have room for dessert, and we'd made the right decision. The homemade Bread (brioche) pudding served with homemade custard was the highlight of the meal. Made fresh and cooked as individual, generous portions, it's worth saving room for. The Banana Fritters were pleasant, but overwhelmed by the taste of the batter.Overall, one of the better Sunday lunches I've had, and certainly value for money. Just a shame about the one or two touches as mentioned in the review.

You've got to eat here, it's an amazing experience, everything spot on, probably one of the best meals we've ever had. Costs a bit but now and again you,ve got to spoil yourself. The first meal of our holiday so set a VERY high benchmark for all the rest.

The Fish House is a high quality, traditional fishmongers - which serves an array of seafood and shellfish at lunch. We have a small yet perfectly formed seating area within the shop (and summertime seating outside). The Fish House is fully licensed with
We had a fantastic lunch here recently. They had a mixed shell fish special which was delicious. We had oysters, dressed crab, prawns, and lobster with artisan bread, with a side of smoked sea bass, excellent. There is indoor and out side seating, with table service. I'm not sure if dogs are allowed inside but outside for sure. Great value, cant wait to return. They also sell fresh fish, of which they have a large selection.

Modern British bistro family run with Mediterranean influences all dishes made in house local game, daily fresh fish, desserts and fresh breads. Friendly welcome. Fine wines local gins.
Four of us ate here in early October. Our only regret is that it's not much closer to York which is where we're from! An absolutely faultless evening all round, with lovely friendly service that was so good you often hadn't even noticed that they had topped up water or various other small things that all went towards a fabulous time. The food was superb - a wide choice, and we all chose differently, but everyone was delighted with what they had. Wouldn't usually have desserts but as the mains were so perfect, we pushed the boat out and shared two between us. It would have been a sin to miss out! The profiteroles were out of this world! Not the cheapest place to eat in Ludlow, but by no means pricey, and definitely good value for money. We hope to be back some day...
